The way I am reading this you will give me $400 if Acuna Jr does not hit the most HRs. Let me think on it.

Yessir!

Wait, no. If he does hit the most HR you get 400

Vladdy will not be the best rookie on the Jays this season.

Stroman will be traded by the deadline (OK...not bold, but I still want it to happen)

Troy Tulowitzki will get at least 400 AB's this season.

Baltimore will have a better record than the Jays.

The Boston Red Sox will finish 3rd in the division.

1. Patrick Murphy will end the season higher on prospect rankings then Nate Pearson.

2. Nate Pearson will be exposed for not actually being good besides throwing a 100mph fastball.

3. Paulino has > 20 saves.

4. Gurribabip puts up negative bWAR/fWAR and the f/o still trots him out 5-6 days a week till giving up mid summer

5. Thomas Pannone pitches ~100 IP despite having a HR/9 of 2.5~

Are these really bold predictions when you've promised that all of them will happen with 100% certainty?

He's just trolling now. (although that really is his end game) He doesn't try to hide it.

1. Vladimir Guerrero doesn't get called up because of conditioning and a series of small injuries. Nothing major but he never puts together 6 weeks of raking and health. Good news is, he resets for 2020, learns a lesson, and does not follow the Jesus Montero career path.

2. Jansen, Bichette, Mckinney, Alford, Biggio, Hernandez, Drury, and Gurriel dramatically overperform as a group (this is bold because usually these things randomly average out with surprises and disappointments, this group will be heavy on the surprises and positve news, and lighter on the dissapointments).

3. Fight for second wild card is more like 2017 than 2018 and Jays are a right in it.

4. Sanchez and Stroman are used a bit less, kind of like Blake Snell, and put up 180 great innings each.

5. His batted ball profile doesn't change much but Kevin Pillar is knicknamed Kevin babipPillar and hit's .300 and his defense rebounds, gets some down ballot MVP votes.

Mets make the postseason

Reds make the postseason

Juan Soto has an OBP > .500

Buxton above average bat, > 50 SB, > 20 HR

Pillar negative defensive value

These are all your wishes, and you call them bold, lol. Then have the gall to bust JFL's balls! :D

1. Eloy Jimenez wins Rookie of the year

2. Vlad Jr doesn't spend the entire season in the MLB after getting called up

3. Billy McKinney post close to .280/.330/.450 in a utility role

4. Brandon Drury has a all star type year

5. David Paulino not on the 40 man roster by the time the season is over

Okay, late to the game but here goes.....

Stroman will have an allstar calibre first half, get selected for the allstar game, and have his ego get even more overblown.

Pompey, after eventually coming off the 60 day dl, will be given another shot and end up sticking with the big club.

Bichette going to look ordinary in AAA.

Vlad jr. will surprise everyone with his deft hand on defense.

The Mirage will have a breakout season....and Tercet will never speak of him again.

Sanchez and stroman both have bounce back seasons, stroman gets resigned long term

That resigning is more of a gross take than a bold one.

Posted
Eh, if he gets resigned its probably for a good reason.

Probably. And it might be a logical decision... But emotion isn't always logical. Getting a great return for Stro and never seeing him again would satisfy both my analytical side and my emotional side.

Sanchez will be the Blue Jays top pitcher in Cy Young voting

Vlad Guerrero jr wins ROY hand down nobody else being close

Smoak will hit 40+ dingers

Bo Bichette will be called up in the 2 half.

In hindsight

- Vlad called up in April, not injured after that, no where close to rookie of the year... ground ball rate and lack of power (relative to league) is an issue

- Biggio called up soon after Vlad... more or less repeats his aa trends in the majors (low average hitter, with crazy number of walks and m

edium power) and is the Jays best player

- Gurriel develops 40 homer power, but can't keep healthy.

- Thornton is in the rotation all year, 2 WAR.

- Bichette has so/so year in Buffalo but is called up in August anyway to join his buddies, is Jays best player on a per game basis.

- Teams will hit 300 homeruns. Power will be crazy. Random guys you never heard of will be hitting 30 homers all over the place.

- Stroman, Sanchez traded at deadline, Giles will have an elite year, but Jays get screwed at deadline because of injury concerns (but he ironically finishes the season healthy).

- Jansen and Reese McGuire both have more fWAR than Vlad, even though Jansen doesn't hit, and McGuire not called up until August... this is partly because of Vlad's lack of power, but also due to the fact both are dynamite defensively.

Sanchez wins 15+ games with an ERA under 3.5

Tellez leads the Jays in home runs

Pillar is still a Jay at the end of the year, but Smoak and Morales are not

Red Sox miss the playoffs

At least one Astros pitcher gets nailed for using an illegal substance on their hands

Zunino hits over .270 and leads all catchers in WAR

No batter hits over 39 home runs

Edwin Diaz loses the closer's job with the Mets

Cano surpasses 30/100 and hits over .300 this year

The team with the best record in baseball this year will be someone who missed the playoffs last year

This bold prediction probably aged the worst lol. You did get the Red Sox and Edwin Diaz right though.

1). Garrett Cooper hits 130 wRC± and gets an endorsement deal with miracle whip mayo.

2) Vlad Jr gets less than 250 PAs and struggles with injuries the entire year.

3) Bo Bichette gets called up by June 1st.

4) Jay's finish exactly with a .500 record

5) Victor Robles steals 45 or more bases

6) Ronald Acuna Jr leads the majors in HRs and wins NL MVP

7) The Chicago White Sox win the BJMB LoD fantasy league.

8) Andrew Vaughn goes 1st overall in the MLB draft.

Hmmm

Heh, well they were supposed to be bold predictions. Man did I miss spectacularly on a bunch of those!

Keon Broxton led me to the over 40% k rate one being correct. I also pretty much nailed that almost every team in the NL would be .500 too

- Rays and Twins are the AL Wildcards; Boston misses the postseason.

- Greg Bird has a breakout season.

- Mike Clevinger top 5 in AL Cy Young voting.

- Trevor May leads the AL in saves.

- Randal Grichuk hits 40 HR's.

- Domingo Santana hits 40 HR's.

- Marcus Stroman is traded at the deadline to a contender.

- Troy Tulowitzki hits .300 with 20 HR's with the Yankees.

- Both Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers will miss the postseason.

- Colorado Rockies win the NL West.

- Jameson Taillon finishes in Top 5 NL Cy Young voting.

- Yasiel Puig hits 35-40 HR's and posts a 6 WAR season.

- Peter O'Brien hits 30 HR's with the Marlins.

- Anthony Rizzo posts a WAR below 2.

- Javier Baez posts a WAR between 2 and 3.

- Robbie Ray is the NL strikeout leader.

- Nationals have the best record in the MLB this season.

- Craig Kimbrel signs with the Nationals in June.

- Walker Buehler wins the NL Cy Young.

- Clayton Kershaw only makes 20 starts and posts an ERA above 4.

I messed up on most haha. Though some predictions were close. Clevinger if healthy could have finished in the Top 5 Cy Young voting. I picked the Nationals to have the best record in the MLB this season, though they did win the World Series so I should at least get a point for that one :P
