Sorry Hurl but the Cincinnati Reds don’t need sponsorship dollars so badly that they’re selling advertising on the f***ing helmets. It’s an awful look, next thing we know they’ll be monetizing the space in the outfield grass for more $$$.

 

I remember in the early 00's they put movie advertisements on the bases and there was so much backlash that they nixed it. Hopefully that'll be the case with the helmets.

Calhoun put up 10 WAR in his first 3 full seasons. He was pretty good, just not splashy.

Are we just glossing over the fact that Jim had no idea Kole Calhoun was a good player?

I do have a theory, though. Perhaps Jim's unfamiliarity of baseball outside of his specific region is because he was planted here by the Kremlin. Sounds plausible to me.

I don't really quite understand the strategy of pissing people off by plastering your boring ass logo over every conceivable thing but then corporate execs aren't exactly the most in touch people.

13 singles of his 17 hits. This guy was way too powerful to have never developed it on field. I feel 21 year old Snider coming up 2019 would have had more success. Whether it's about launch angle or just moving him from RF. His career AAA line is now .310/.392/.486

Yu Darvish throws a fastball that drills Brinson in the nuts which immediately drops him holding his crotch and then the ball hits the umpire in the throat.
