The Rays just pulled Yarbrough with nobody on base, one out away from a complete game shutout. He was at 99 pitches.

The Rays wonder why they have no fans.

He would've literally exploded right on the mound had he thrown that 100th pitch. We all know this.

I was watching via Game Day and was puzzled about that too. I mean if he allows a base runner to get on (which is usually protocol), fine. But that wasn't the case. He had a manageable pitch count of 99, and the guy had been dominant all day: 8.2 IP, 3 H, 0 BB, 8K 's.

Yikes. If I was Yarbrough, I'd be really REALLY pissed.

Arenado just got intentionally walked in the first inning!

Having lived through Barry Bonds and his 120 IBB's in 2004, nothing else impresses me.

Holy f*** - I'm not sure I realized Bonds was intentionally walked 120 times in 2004. That season was insane.

Last year's leaders were:

BB% - 20.1 (Trout)

K% - 7.3 (Simmons)

IBB - 25 (Trout)

BB - 130 (Harper)

2004 Bonds

BB% - 37.6

K% - 6.6

IBB - 120

BB - 232

Fransmil Reyes has been worth -0.7 WAR for the Indians since the trade (11 games). Sucking doesn't get much more spectacular than that.

2.6 BB%

35.9 K%

wRC+ down to 104 on the season.

The Indians basically got Teoscar Hernandez and Logan Allen (98th overall prospect in baseball) + a couple of lottery tickets for Bauer. Keep that in mind when ripping Atkins for netting us SWR + Kay for Stro.

I failed in selecting this guy, he's so inconsistent and can't get deep into a game..

Yeah, I bought a share too in the offseason. Deep regrets.

Hader gives up bombs for days!!!

25 hits - 13 bombs?!

this along with the woes of Edwin Diaz sure supports the idea that relief pitchers are super erratic. So if you are the Jays, what is Giles worth in a contract offer ?

I say 2 years, $20M with a 3rd year option at 1M buyout. Yeah that is pretty aggressive but probably need to pay top dollar to keep him in TO. Of course this is assuming he finishes the year well with a clean bill of health from Dr MRI.

The other night, fans chanted 'We Want Charlie" and the org followed up by signing him as a hitting coach. lol... only in Phillie, how's Kapler feeling?

Hader has still been excellent even when factoring in this year's homerun issues. He has a 103:15 K/B ratio in 55.2 innings of work. Established elite relievers are still plenty valuable, keep in mind after his clusterf*** of an offseason following one of his worst seasons in his career, Craig Kimbrel still signed a 3/43 deal with a $16M vesting option for the fourth year. Barring an extended injury or a sharp decline in his ability from now until next offseason, Ken Giles is well on his way to get a lot of money.

Giles will likely go for no less than 3 years in the ballpark of $40-50M, and I could very well see him surpass that.
