TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 All those close wins for Atlanta last year are breaking the other way so far this year. Two pinch hit walks to get to Blackmon who hit a game winning double. AA panic move or no?

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Hader's ridiculous! Yeah game over!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 I wouldn’t think so with a young team so many assets for him to move, which aren't contributing to this team though. Maybe panic isn't the word but learning more about advanced stats isn't going to change that trades (and extensions) are his M.O. I would bet that we see something in the next month. The entire NL is going to hover around .500 all year so I think he'll feel some desire to make a splash
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 NEW YORK -- Christian Yelich hit a fourth-inning homer off Noah Syndergaard in Saturday’s 8-6 win over the Mets to reclaim the Major League lead, with 14, breaking a tie with the Dodgers’ Cody Bellinger. Not only that, but Yelich also tied Albert Pujols (2006) and Alex Rodriguez (2007) for the most home runs before May 1 in a single season in Major League history.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Another s*** outing for Syndergaard ERA sitting at 6.35
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Another s*** outing for Syndergaard ERA sitting at 6.35 Wouldn't be concerned. It's mostly just some HR issues right now.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Syndergaard has been trash this season, just throwing meatballs up there constantly. So much talent but just can't put it together. He has 16 career WAR by age 26. Explain to me how exactly he hasn't put it together? He's one of the best pitchers in baseball.

I wasn't referencing his career, merely this season. Giving up 4+ runs in 5 of 6 starts he's been anything but one of the best pitchers in baseball this season. Sure, the talent is there to be one of the best. I'm not arguing that. Being consistent is a big part of being a great pitcher and Thor is far from that right now.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 He's been toast for the last couple of years. Yeah he's been crap and gotten worse every year since 2015 This year 10 games .087/.160/.087 wRC -27 plus bad defense Story about his blunder yesterday: https://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/mets-designate-darnaud-day-blunder-boos-vs-brewers/ New York announced the move Sunday, a day after d’Arnaud was booed during an 8-6 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers .
