Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Ah, Pittsburgh in June. Time to start badgering my friend about this. Pittsburgh is a wonderful road trip. Might be time to think about taking my 2 older boys (10 + 8 next year) to some of these other stadiums. Pittsburgh would be a nice start.

I've been dying to go there for years, and the last time they were there my friend just couldn't make it work. I was like ok, but next time, which will be six damn years later...and here we finally are. So this needs to happen. Your kids must be good about sitting through games if you'd even consider such a trip.

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Jays down to -48 run differential. Would be nice if they can get to positive territory by the end of the year.
Todd Van Anus Verified Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Man when these guys gets some pitching, look out! They have a bunch of 3-4's. They just need an true ace and a number 2.

Todd Van Anus Verified Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Maybe someone can pull one out of their anus. That would be impressive. Any suggestions on who might be able to do this?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 That would be impressive. Any suggestions on who might be able to do this? Several. And I could provide links to their body of work, but I don't feel like getting banned.

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Author Posted August 13, 2019 Maybe they waived Smoak. Smoak is in the announced lineup so it’s probably a reliever sent down.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 The sensible thing to do when you have a short bench is to call up the guy with no positional variability to team up with the other guy with no positional variability, but at least can take a walk. I kind of want a couple of injuries to happen in a game. Nothing long term, but maybe a couple of calf strains or a rolled ankle just so Montoyo has to go with a pitcher playing the infield so Atkins and friends get a valuable lesson in contingency planning.

Yeah, because proving your point is way more important than a player getting hurt.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Ross Atkins really sucks at communicating.
M.E. Verified Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Ross Atkins really sucks at communicating. He is under no obligation to tell Scott Mitchell or anyone any information he doesn't want public or is in the middle of gathering information to make.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 This current group of media covering the Blue Jays might be the worst it's ever been. And that's saying a lot. Keep spinning every little tidbit to the same old narrative, boys.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Ross Atkins really sucks at communicating. Scott Mitchell really sucks at reporting. Seriously man - assuming Atkins has no idea what roster move to make because he hasn't told you and is in meetings? Get a f***ing life. #fakenewsbullshit
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Scott Mitchell looks like the type that would sit calmly in the corner while another dude plows his wife.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Ross Atkins really sucks at communicating. That's pretty sad if true
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 "Only team I’ve seen in baseball where these moves seem to sneak up on them so regularly.#BlueJays" Said the man who has the following resume: TSN Toronto Sun Calgary Sun mom’s house on Elgin womb Pretty sure the Blue Jays are the only team in baseball you've ever been on the beat for, Scotty.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 You're f***ing weird, Jonn. Life’s to short to be normal.

They are called closed door meetings for a reason, its so the media cant report on them. Idiot!!
