Yup. Sounds pissed. Bichette isn't re-signing in Toronto.

He's barely 21 and you're saying he's "pissed"... I hope he understands the situation better than that and he's just saying what he's supposed to say (no AAA guy should ever be saying "he's not ready"), I'd rather not have another blockhead on this team.

Vlad looking pretty bad... but going to chalk it up as him being a 20 year old. Edited by tbad

Older guys on this team that might have more value than a bag of balls (not named Stroman/Giles):

Some much dumpster fill on this team... young hitters look great though... pitching is in a mess...

Next years starters (if Stroman gone):

-Shoemaker

-Borucki

-Sanchez (big f***ing uggh)

-Thornton (blaaahhh)

Who else??

So Boagarts gets a double on what would a fly out and Jansen gets a single that would have been a HR. If Fenway gets torn down, the Commissioner will approve the new stadium being constructed the exact same way, just like Yankee Stadium. Doesn't the Red Sox' Florida State League team have a green monster in LF?

I don't have a big problem with Fenway. It both gives and takes away. The Yankees short porch without the wall should never have been allowed.

So what’s the consensus on Gurriel in LF? I haven’t been able to watch all the games, but he currently has 1 DRS and 0.2 UZR in the OF. Obviously that arm is fantastic. Have we found 1 of our Of of the future?

Way too early to say, Ray. He has been great but he could still end up as just a bench talent.

It seems like he can handle LF just fine but that's not a huge compliment.

What are the current thoughts on RF v. LF?

Do you put the better defender in LF because there are more balls hit to left field? Do you put the guy with the big arm in RF even if he's stronger defensively (range) than your LFer?

I actually don't know; I think most teams just let the stronger/weaker arms dictate alignment. And other stuff like comfort and reps in each corner.

I'm sure the Rays have some complex algorithm that they use each game / inning / matchup to optimize their defense.

Fenway is the world's largest outhouse.

Man I disagree. I really enjoyed my trip to Boston, along with the Fenway tour and the game and a half I saw there. I'd go back in a heartbeat. For me, the history and nostalgia are what elevate a good game to a great game.

Looking at Font's numbers, why am I not surprised that the only time he was ever any good was with the Rays, and then sucked again immediately after he went somewhere else? God I hate the Rays.

But yeah, Font can't hurt.
