P2F Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 We are also last in BA at .218: http://www.espn.com/mlb/stats/team/_/stat/batting/sort/avg/order/true "I'll take 'Stats That Don't f***ing Matter' for $400, Alex."
John Balkabella Verified Member Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 I wonder if the Blue Jays would have drawn 7500 people if they were unfortunate enough to have a home game scheduled this evening?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 How are the Royals out tanking us? They have guys having way better years. And in an easier division too
CrackerJack Verified Member Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 I wonder if the Blue Jays would have drawn 7500 people if they were unfortunate enough to have a home game scheduled this evening? Paid attendance or fans actually showing up? I think fans thru the turnstiles would've been less than 7.5 K, but it appears that the season ticket base is in the 9 K range now.

You couple that with the fact we're last in OBP as well: http://www.espn.com/mlb/stats/team/_/stat/batting/sort/onBasePct/order/true And I'll take 'Stats That f***ing Matter a Helluva Lot' for $1,000, Alex."

Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 I assume Biggio is hurt or in AAA, because otherwise there is no reason he is not in the lineup

BTS Community Moderator Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 https://blogs.fangraphs.com/edwin-jackson-and-the-abyss/ Someone at FG actually bothered to write an article about how Edwin Jackson is bad. I don't really know why, because he's been bad for like 6 years.

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2019 Author Posted June 12, 2019 As he’s not on the 40 man I guess this is the end of Jackson's career.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 As he’s not on the 40 man I guess this is the end of Jackson's career. Has Romano been stretched out this season? Unless they're abandoning the 5th starter (Jackson) and going with an opener instead.

They tried to stretch him out when he was returned but it wasn't working and they moved him back to the pen.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 I don't even know what to say about this stuff anymore.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 I don't even know what to say about this stuff anymore. So is Jackson still going to be the bulk guy, or did they decide to cut him 3 hours before his start?

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 So they are removing someone else from the 40 man to add Romano instead of Jackson? I wonder who.

They could move Tepera to the 60 day IL as he's not due back for a few weeks at least. Then send a reliever down who still has options to make room on the 25 man. Would be simpler to just dfa Jackson but hey ho.
