Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 You should try French Vanilla. I've never had a coffee or coffee based drink concoction in my life. If I'm having some sweetened concoction for breakie, it's a yogurt bowl with granola, chia seed, and strawberry and mango toppings Who should the Jays use as a lineup topping, anyone care?

Coffee is only sweet if you put sugar or sweetener..... No carbs if no sugar or milk. Edited April 7, 2019 by Carlos Danger
tbad Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 He has no value as a position player... his defense is that bad. Maybe as a DH or bench bat he can provide some value. I'm baffled as to why he's still getting chances in the OF... he's friggin 26, his defense is not likely getting better. I'd much rather see guys like Anthony Alford get more reps... P.S.> My apologies for creating a new thread but oddly I couldn't find an existing one for Teoscar.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Start one for Alen Hanson as well please.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 His bat isnt good enough to be a full time DH
flafson Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 I guess they hope he turns into Jose Bautista by the time Vlad and Bo are ready to compete.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 His bat isnt good enough to be a full time DH He’s been an above average hitter for his career and he actually has some decent speed. He scored easily on the Grichuk double from first. His defense hasn’t been an issue this year so far. Why don’t we wait a few months to see if there is some improvement. Subtracting decent hitters from a lineup like the jays doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense

Slade Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Gurriel first, I can't look at him anymore. Just such a bad player, he needs to get sent down.

tbad Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Devon was never actually a good lead off litter unless his 2015-2016 .350 BABIP is sustainable (very few guys can sustain that kind of BABIP unless they are Derek Jeter... but Jeter was faster and could leg out some of those hits)... because his low walk rate and next to zero chance to steal a base are not good lead-off attributes.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Large French Vanilla you aren't getting these at Tims are you?
doorknob Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 He played more games last year then at any point in his ML history.. And he sucked.. He offence does not make up for his horrible D and he was not the Travis of 2015, 2016.. Can confirm, this is 100% true and accurate. I pray to the Baseball Gods every day to thank them for injuring Rally Killer Travis once again and sparing us all from having to watch his routine rally-killing groundouts into double plays. HE SUCKS!
tercet Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 The mirage has actually looked better this year, higher bb, lower k, hes sorta inbetween on alot of pitches. He still has a small chance of maybe turning it around imo..
Kelly Gruber Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 This current 25 man roster is the pits, but I am still excited for the better days ahead for this team. Wondering if someone on this board is in the know about upcoming jersey numbers. Is Guerrero going to be 27 for sure? What # is Bichette going to wear? - currently wears same number as Gurriel in Buffalo Biggio? Is there no way to know this for sure until they get put on the roster?

Not until they're a mainstay, save for Vladito's 27.

Trying to be hip and get the jersey before anyone else?
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Hey, he had a Kelly Gruber #17 jersey and mullet when Kelly was still at Syracuse and Garth Iorg / Rance Mullinks were platooning at 3B. And that was before Al Gore invented the internet!

Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Man, I really would like to see Cavan Biggio up here, I saw a couple of his homeruns, I think he might do better than most expect in the majors.

I’m not a huge fan of Teoscar either but nobody is exactly knocking on the door to take away his playing time. Some people believe there’s a small chance he breaks out and develops into an above average bat if given regular playing time.. we will see. I’m not really buying it just yet.
