z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 Pitchers on the Rockies NLDS rosters Antonio Senzatela Chad Bettis Harrison Musgrave DJ Johnson The Rockies believe all of these guys are better than Jon Gray. Kinda puts the ineptitude in stark relief when you lay it out like that.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Jon Gray said he simply wasn't healthy in 2018. "I wasnt really healthy," Gray told the Denver Post, "My (velocity) was down this year. I was down about 20 pounds this year. I need to get back to 230-235." In an effort to bounce back after posting a disappointing 5.12 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 9.6 K/9 over 31 starts, Gray plans to hit the gym hard in the offseason and pack on some muscle. The right-hander had bad luck on his side all year and was hurt often by the long ball, allowing a career-high 1.4 homers per nine innings.

I like how the author used "disappointing" and "9.6 K/9" in the same sentence.
