Well, a security guard is definitely supposed to be aware of their surroundings. It's kinda in the job description. Clearly an accident though.

 

They'd be smart to build a spring loaded and padded chair right into the wall. As soon as the security guy stood up, it would automatically retract and security could simply jump into the stands.

Ramirez complained that the throw hit Gurriel, but given that the latter was simply sliding into the bag within the baseline and made no effort to disrupt the throw it doesn't matter if it hits him. That's on Diaz for not making a better throw/getting into better position and Ramirez for not coming up with the ball, it's not like it was some massive deflection.
