Probably they have to add him to the 40-man in the off-season anyway. Makes sense he gets starts this year especially when Happ gets traded.

I've seen enough of Gaviglio, after we trade Happ and a few others, bring him up now and give him 2 months and give him a shot to open the season in the rotation. The kid is killing it in the minors.

You've seen enough of Gaviglio? He's been quite serviceable for us, solid depth starter to have, it's not like he's 2017 Mat Latos out there.

I didn't say I didn't like what I've seen. He's a solid 5/6 guy. He's battled. I just think SRF could benefit from some time in the majors this year and he could be in the rotation from day one of the season next year. I know, no one wants to start the service clock, but I'm the eternal optimist....I think the jays could be a young team that competes for a wild card position next year.
