I just wonder if these great small moves can ever convert into a true direction though. The 2-3 win guys (with control) they amassed for very little is still impressive but it equates .500 team (which is impressive) not a playoff team.

Wouldn't the idea be to add the 2-3 WAR players in hopes that you strike gold in the draft (in which case the 2-3 WAR guys are compliments to star players you draft?

Apparently, the Nationals may be sellers. Bryce Harper trade, anyone? This could be quite the riveting development.

i still think they have an excellent chance to resign him. I think they will outbid the competition when push comes to shove.

I would love to see Tyler Chatwood walk 5+ per start for the rest of the season in jays uniform.

Eduardo Escobar to the Diamondbacks.

Phillies must truly be low-balling everyone. It seemed like a sure thing they would get him.

Looks like they've upped their offers, as they've just acquired Assdribble. Kilome to the Mets.

Orioles would be smart to move them both now. Did a competent intern start running the show in Baltimore or something lol.

I think that would be stupid. The Braves are showing their cracks and Philly is playing way over their heads. I think 88 is a safe target to win that division. I'm not sure that the Nats have it in them to win 37 of their last 60...but then again 88 might not be needed.

Ownership agreed to back off. They even admitted they are years behind in F.O. investment.

Twins - Gilberto Celestino and Jorge Alcala

Astros - Ryan Pressly

Didn't realize Pressly is having a breakout year. He's always had good stuff

How many arms do the Stros need, lol. Yeah, he's been good.

Moustakas to the Brewers for Brett Phillips and Jorge Lopez

A curious fit for Milwaukee. You have to figure that the Orioles would have taken the same offer for Schoop.

I hate when players do this. I understand you have your 10/5 rights but basically your saying you don't want to go to a winning team and have a chance to win a world series. And you don't allow your team to get an asset for you and they lose you for free because they aren't going to over you a qualifying offer. Perhaps he resigns in Baltimore... I don't know why he would that team is going to be a disaster for the foreseeable future. They might actually be worse next year.

Jones has earned the right to make these decisions.
