That leaves us roughly one million over slot for Groshans and Kloffenstein. I'd expect a good portion of those savings to come from Christopher Bec.

We can only get back $345,000 from Bec if you assume he signs for like $10K or something.

That's a bit higher than I expected for Groshans. But I will assume that they have everything under control and know exactly where the extra money is coming from for Kloffenstein.

Drew Labounty probably signs for $1 or something ceremonial. People like the feel-good story there, but there is also ~$125K in pool money that can be re-allocated to an actual prospect.

I'm assuming Conine will sign underslot.

I would guess he gets slot +/- 10%. He got popped right around where he was projected to go.

Unfortunately not. The static 125K slots after the first 10 rounds can't be reallocated. You can only share money from the first 10 rounds, after that, only overslot deals from 11-40 actually count against your cap. Underslot deals offer no extra budget space.

Conine will sign soon as Duke was playing up until a few days ago but they have since been eliminated

If Bec, Brodt and Stevenson all go for $10K, that saves us $627,200. If we save 10% on Conine, that puts us at $762,200. We're still stretching to make up for $1,047,100 we went over on Groshans and Kloffenstein. Sorry Wymer, you're going to have to take a hair cut bud.

I didn't even really want Liberatore and this still makes me salty for some reason. Signing concerns my ass.

This is not true. Kloffenstein only signed for 2.45 million, so that is 996,200 over. You are allowed to go over the bonus pool by 5% with no penalty, which nets the Jays an extra 399,105. Therefore, total savings the Jays need to find from their other signings at the moment is 597,095.

And likely Conine for a chunk of that... FO know what they're doing.

Knowing What Groshans got I'd much prefer Liberatore at the money he got.

What with all the extensive scouting work you did, right?

Aren't you excited to hear Dinger's informed hot takes on the draft in audio form?

You might be better off embedding the tweet number there bro. [tweet] tweetNum [ / tweet]

I got a new phone and for some reason I can't see embedded tweets right now, anyone know how to fix that?
