3 for 3, 2 homers, 2 walks, and his first stolen base for nearly a decade (last was Oct 2009). Offer him an extension?

LOL. Definitely.

Actually a little hot streak now may help KC trade for him.

That is exactly what I am thinking. I want him to heat up so we can find a trade partner. I know we'd still eat 90% of his salary or something but so what. We need him gone.

Yeah it's really not happening for him is it. In fact has it ever happened for him in Toronto...you'd have to say no.

What a waste. We're in with a shout of a WC this year and binning him for someone who could actually contribute in some way could make all the difference.

Luis Santos has been promoted, but was not on the 40-man. A move has to be made. Please be Morales DFAed!

Andrew Stoeten seems to think he may be done. Here's hoping it is true.

I didn't type a sentence, I quoted two words.

But now you've typed a sentence. Could have saved a lot of time if you just read my entire post.

Injuries are keeping him on the roster IMO. With everyone back (if that ever happens) it’ll be even more difficult to justify keeping him.

Morales will be Ohtani on the mound. Just you watch.

And here I'd settle for him being Ohtani at the plate.

What's the purpose of keeping this guy on the roster?

I could see giving him a 1 month audition, just to see if he'd bounce back after his god-awful 2017 season, but he's been even worse.

What are Shapiro and Atkins waiting for?

I don't wanna be a conspiracy theorist, but Morales looks a f*** of a lot older than 34. Any chance he's got one of those phony Cuban birth certificates?

He’d probably have a higher WAR as a reliever than a hitter. Give it a shot. Why not. We are stuck with his overpaid ass anyway.

If he agrees to be sent down I'm all for it

Hell, Jose B would have been a better fit at DH, and as much as I love him. I would still say no to him.

The DH is a dead position, it is no longer used for a POWER Bat thats past his prime. It is now used to maneuver your position players around and get them a day off the field and some light rest. If you team is built correct now you have more bats then positions on the field thus creating the need for the DH spot revolving.

He would never agree, just DFA him, eat the money. Lots of teams do it to put a better product on the field.

So he wants to take the mound in an MLB game without throwing a pitch in the minors? If he is that f***ing dumb send him down and tell him he has been traded to an expansion team.

He's just talking about position player mop up duty like Cliff Pennington used to do. No big deal and he's a s***** enough of a player that he basically does the team a favour if he pulls something.

do you think that Morales will top Joe Cannon's slash line with the 1980 Blue Jays of .080/.098/.080?

at least Joe (aka JJ) had a little bit of value on the bases.

1 BB in 232 major league plate appearances is f***ing phenomenal.

He'd have an even higher WAR just keeping his ugly ass parked on the bench.
