Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 I swear the Jays are cursed on my birthday, or I am. On the 26th last year the game got postponed, and tomorrow will be the 2nd time in 3 years that they’ve had to face Sale on my birthday. FML

glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 By the all mighty 1 one against the Red Sox. Lol And in the 7th inning (not late enough). Yeah, it was a logical move just done too early.
el duque Verified Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 No, it's really not. Donaldson is the second best player in baseball, and that's not debatable. almost agree buy my list goes Ohtani, Trout, Donaldson
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Happy Birthday, you have a surprise on tap! Thanks! Good surprise I hope.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 almost agree buy my list goes Ohtani, Trout, Donaldson I wouldn't buy that list...
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 almost agree buy my list goes Ohtani, Trout, Donaldson Ohtani might sneak into the top 20, but first overall? Get the f*** outta here...
el duque Verified Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Ohtani might sneak into the top 20, but first overall? Get the f*** outta here... I am living the hype, he is both a pitcher and a HR hitter , Babe Ruth reincarnation, agree we have to see for a whole year but so far he has been outstanding
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 almost agree buy my list goes Ohtani, Trout, Donaldson Lol Ohtani is nowhere near top 10 right now.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Pillar is going to strike out, Martin is going to reach base on a weird infield single, and LGJ is going to hit his first career homer.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Pillar is going to strike out, Martin is going to reach base on a weird infield single, and LGJ is going to hit his first career homer. Well, I guess I was wrong based on the batting order..
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Also, your beard f***ing sucks balls Kimbrel
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Not sure but I think I would have hit Maile for Martin. Holy f*** he's horrible.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Not sure but I think I would have hit Maile for Martin. Holy f*** he's horrible. Look, Maile is having a great season so far, but Martin is objectively a better hitter than him over the longer term...
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 No, it's really not. Donaldson is the second best player in baseball, and that's not debatable. Of course it’s debatable - Harper, Bryant, Kershaw are all candidates.

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Harper... that's it/ IMO Harper is the second best player, but that’s only an opinion. Plenty of evidence and arguments for JD/Bryant/Kershaw.

That Aaron Judge guy looks good too. 8.2 WAR last year and this year he's increased his BB%, lowered his K% (over 5%) and his pumping a 205 wRC+ JD's best season was 8.7 WAR. Even if he's completely healthy for a full season, I don't know if he touches 8 WAR in a season ever again. Judge is 26 (today - happy birthday young man) and has made massive improvements/adjustments to his game over the past 2-3 years. The best might be yet to come. I also think Correa may flirt with an 8 WAR season this year. Again, I don't think JD would get there (due to his declining defense) even if healthy.

Yeah I didn't include Judge in the conversation for 2nd best simply because he's only in his 2nd full year. But in total WAR since his debut, he's actually ranked 1st. There's lot of other potential 7 / 8 WAR players this year - Altuve, Ohtani(?), Betts, Machado (at SS), Jose Ramirez, et al. So many exciting players in MLB right now!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Harper... that's it/ I'd say Harper, Betts, Judge, Stanton, Altuve, Correa are all up there and I think all have passed JD at this point. You can't look at the WAR leaderboard for the past few years and say it's a definitive measure of who's the best going forward.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 so who's starting the GDT for tonight, we need a winning streak
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Sanchez is pretty awful and I don't expect anything good out of him but let's hope the offense brings it today and/or he flukes his way to 6-7 innings of low run scoring. Sanchez gunna get lit tonight I despise Aaron Sanchez. 6 IP, 3 H, 2 BB, 8 K Shut it, haters.
JoJo Parker Dunedin Blue Jays - A SS On Tuesday, Parker was just 1-for-5, but the one hit was his first professional home run. Explore JoJo Parker News >
