Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 He does. But no need to worry. By June, if he still looks like this, Teoscar or Alford will take his place. I'm fairly confident about it. He doesn't suck this much and he's a good defender.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Pat loving that chiseled body
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 The org has a lot of OF depth in part because they acquired Grichuk. Relievers are volatile, Leone could easily be garbage this year even though I'm hoping he isn't. for sure a good trade just stinks that he is scuffling so hard out of the gate, reminding me of Pearce's start last year.

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 I dont know, the org has a lot of outfield depth and the bullpen is def a weakpoint of the team right now and Leone was close to elite last year, would be nice to have anchoring the pen. Leone is a journeyman reliever who had a good year. There’s just as much chance that he sucks this year as he repeats. Plus I don't agree that the bullpen is a weakness anyway.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Beltre just doesn't age, he's so good.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 He doesn't suck this much and he's a good defender. No he doesn't. He's just terribad right now, but I expect he'll be better. He's a 2 win player, which is far better than Bautista's 2017. The defence alone makes him way better. That said Teoscar or Alford could be better than that, so I hope, after a decent sample size has amassed, they make the best decision for the team, even, if that means DFAing Morales, making Grichuk the 4th OF, and giving his spot to 1 of Alford/Teoscar.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 are alford and teoscar both starting the year in AAA?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 are alford and teoscar both starting the year in AAA? Alford is on the MLB DL and Teoscar will be starting the year there.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Missed a good one so far.. go jays! How has Garcia looked?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Missed a good one so far.. go jays! How has Garcia looked? Command was terrible in the first and he was leaving everything high but he's since regained it and has been much better.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 are alford and teoscar both starting the year in AAA? Hernandez is, Alford's on our DL.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 For a 5th pitcher, Garcia is pretty damn steady. Decent pitch count too
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Whoa Joe Sidall dislikes dumn bunting, nice.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Solarte has been great so far. Love the walks
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Solarte has a great eye. His approach at the plate has been amazing.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Just what I was going to say Loving Garcia as our 5th starter Might be too early to say, but so far it feels amazing go not be worried about who's starting
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 I love that slow curveball that he's mixing in every now and then. Garcia is so crafty.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Watching Garcia pitch and inducing weak groundballs is just as enjoyable watching Estrada inducing weak flyballs.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Watching Garcia pitch and inducing weak groundballs is just as enjoyable watching Estrada inducing weak flyballs. That's exactly the comp that I had in mind. Different methods of success but the viewing experience is very similar. Crafty, hit their spots and keep hitters off-balance and guessing the entire game.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 The throw wasn't good but Gallo has got to come up with that.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Man, Grichuk is in some kind of suck right now.
el duque Verified Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Grichuk try to make contact is all HR swings
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Grichuk is f***ing yikes lol. We might see Solarte get some Outfield starts as a result of this. Or maybe even Pearce vs RHP.
