Just kidding about Vlad, I want to manipulate his service time as much as the next fan #longgame

 

I would actually be okay with Espinosa playing 3B for a while until JD's "dead arm" is lively. I am happy when Kendrys sits. He's f***ing terrible.

Well we have Solarte to play 3B and Espinosa isn't on the roster. So that's what will happen Morales will be pinch-hitter until Donaldson can play the field.

JD playing 3b when he couldn't even throw is either irresponsible of the team (if they knew) or JD (if he didn't disclose it). JUst put him on the DL. If the team starts poorly because of it then so be it. Better he get healthy than get hurt worse than he already is.

 

Free agent next season. Donaldson (Injury 3B) and Machado (Playing SS) want money

I've never seen a 3B who couldn't throw across the diamond like that. Donaldson's shoulder must be really f***ed. This is not good.

 

Last year he had some injuries but it was mostly calf issues. His arm was fine when the season ended. What happened?

off topic, but I realized that they updated mlb.tv features but how can i make the feed start from the beginning of the game and not the live part of the game. Previously they had this option where the feed would start from the start of the game even though you join in the middle of the game

I Love JD...but quite frankly I would not sign him to a long term big contract...he has had multiple injuries the last couple years and will be 33.

Just slide the cursor back to the beginning of the game. Not sure if that helps.

Happ was excellent yesterday against a monster lineup with 3 of the best RHH in baseball. Nobody could have asked any more of him.

Happ was fine yesterday. Bad break with the Grandy error in the 1st inning, but he did about as well as could have been expected against that lineup.

 

Sanchez and Stroman might have better luck against them with their GB tendencies. Estrada is probably going to get lit up like a Christmas tree against them.

Thats a fair pitching assessment but its irrelevent as long as our offense is producing 2 hits/game. Pitching can only carry us so far.

Yep, but we should still hope for a big year from the pitching staff so that we can extract strong trade value at the deadline.

If it comes to that, yes. As much value as you can get for a couple of rentals anyway.

I feel like people are overestimating how much more suited Stroman and Sanchez are to face these Yankees than Happ. Now yes, these two at this point in their respective careers have much higher upside but Happ was pretty darn dominant yesterday and unfortunately he got Stanton'd. If Stroman and Sanchez can get through 5 with a 5:1 K/BB I'll be quite happy.
