It's nice of you to assume the teams are winners. This really was the ultimate compliment. I'm nothing without my fantasy teams.

-How is forum activity? I assume pretty good with the Jays fan base expanding quite a bit over the last few years

 

-I notice there is a prospect thread, do you guys typically watch the prospects or depend on your favourite list?

It's a great place with some of the best analysis around.

 

In terms of prospects, there is no better place, In fact one poster once went to the trouble of compiling a top 100 Blue Jays prospect list. Not top 100 in baseball mind you, but top 100 Blue Jays prospects.

 

People tend to like mega threads rather than lots of threads. That's OK once you get used to it.

Definitely more during the season, but you'll find that we like to keep this place neat and tidy, so unnecessary threads get deleted or merged into other threads like Around Baseball, for example. The forum has 1,026,893 posts and counting in under 5 years. I'd say pretty comfortably that we all have no lives outside of this place, so a lack of posts shouldn't be an issue.

Sounds like the SABR-friendly jays-specific forum with tons of prospect content and a high volume of posts with little spam would be more to your liking.

Ignoring whatever the hell happened in this thread, there's a few people here who are very knowledgeable on advanced statistics and analytics.

 

If what you're looking for is people who post tons of little generic fluff pieces on every player while trying to attach a SABR label to it, you won't find it here. We do quite often discuss various players and performance during the season though, as the situations present themselves. Those discussions definitely use everything at our disposal.

 

If you're looking for deep, in-depth articles, new projection systems, etc, you probably won't find that specifically on any forum, as they aren't something that can be mass produced. They take extensive work. You may find them discussed here though. We have had members that have produced these in the past.

 

General forum activity will pick up once the season starts. The board's fantasy leagues are quite active all year.
