Those walk in freezers are scary. I got temporarily locked in one. Luckily someone knew I was in there.

 

At night working the closing shift at the restaurant I made sure that door was always open with something after that.

Same thing happened to me in a Supermarket... a dolly was leaned on the door from there on out.

most STEM kids in my life growing up were heavily influenced to pursue this path from the cradle on upward

 

a Dad with an engineering ring meant a completely different path of hobbies and reading all through school

I'm sure any MLB club will bring on a woman who has the same qualifications as a man to write code for $14/hour or whatever they pay them to do.

I don't understand the desire for every job to be a 50/50 split of males and females. If men are more likely than women to want to work 60 hour weeks for min wage in an MLB front office, I don't see the problem with that.

For a lot of jobs now white males are at a disadvantage. Try getting into the police force as a 25 year old white male.

 

A lot of executive positions are still going to old white men but for entry level jobs employers are trying to hire diversity so you're at a disadvantage being a young white man.

I agree, most of what we read in that article is the same ole same ole when it comes to STEM and female workers, just interesting takes from an MLB perspective. I enjoyed it.

Things have gone completely crazy. I thought there would be pushback when Justin Trudeau proudly vowed to select 50% of his cabinet from just 30% of his pool, but nobody really seemed to have an issue with that.

It's quite sad to be honest, look at what happened with L54 yesterday, crazy. Remember someone from the old forum almost had GP fired? Like... WTF?! lol... he also had a guy show up to his corrections facility, too.
