This argument is f***ing stupid. Almost nobody is saying girls shouldn't be allowed to play pro baseball. If they are, they are dumb. They are saying it is incredibly unlikely that a girl will be good enough to play pro baseball.

If it happened, great! There would be literally nothing but upside for the MLB to have a woman make it purely on talent. It should not be their priority to 'manufacture' it, because that would do more harm than good.

The closest thing I've seen to people saying "women shouldn't play" is that MLB teams shouldn't be forced to spend money scouting/developing women's leagues on the chance that the odd woman is good enough to be an MLB asset someday. Certainly any woman good enough to play MLB should be allowed to play. It would be a great story if it happened.

Also, women are being empowered to do tons of stuff, I don't know where the victim narrative is coming from but I guess people will take advantage of things when they can.

It's odd how we don't see women burning their bras about playing football. Step up, ladies, be my guest.

Or working on oil rigs, or doing road construction or welding...

To act like women are victims in today's society is a joke. They have all the power.

Women just don't understand the way men think. They can't fathom how indifferent we are to basically everything. As emotional creatures, how can they understand how little emotion we have?

If a woman comes to the dish the first thing I'll think is, "Oh jeeze I wonder how this will go. Most likely she will strikeout ha!". Then she gets a hit, "Wow would you look at that. Guess she's good. What should I have for dinner by the way? Is there a Chipotle around here somewhere? f*** it I'll just make eggs and bacon."

Both of those dinner options are legit.

Damn, that's so bang on.

Also, Chipotle chicken tacos are the GOAT. Now I'm hungry.

FFS - I've never had Chipotle and when I was in the states 2 weeks ago, we could have gone to one (I was craving Mexican), but my wife wanted the Outback instead. I ordered the fish tacos and they were s*** [shakes fist in air]

Divorce your wife immediately. Decision-making like that is going to lead to decades of regret.

Every time I get Chipotle I feel outraged at the price, but it's soooo good.

Really? It's what... $1 more than a Big Mac combo?

Posted

Yeah I don't find Chipotle to be unreasonably priced, especially considering how delicious it is. What Dinger described is exactly how I feel every time I have Burger's Priest, though.

This tangent proves MikeM's point perfectly, lol.

I feel the same way about Burger Priest and those other 2nd level burger joints. Always seems hard to justify.

One thing I really miss about Toronto is Pizzaiolo.

Man, don't cuck yourself out of Chipotle. When you do go, though, the chicken is where it's at. Don't bother with any of the other protein options imo and I think the tacos are incredible with the sauteed peppers and onions. Gawd dayum.

I think BP is worth it tbh. I've never had a better burger anywhere, just really expensive.

Qdoba > Chipotle. You'll know what I mean if you ever go there.

The only Mexican fast food we have here is Mucho Burrito. It’s great hangover food.

Quantifiably false. The barbacoa is the way to go.

I went to johnny's burgers because everyone raves about it.

Got the steak on a bun. Looked and tasted like shaved roast beef. 16$ with fries and a drink

Would not recommend.

5 Guys makes a wicked burger IMO

5 guys burgers are pretty dry and unremarkable in my experience. Not even close to as good as BP.

The burger I had last year was glorious. I think it was in Buffalo on our way home from our golf/baseball trip. 4 guys who'd been eating at restaurants for 5 straight days all raved at how good our last meal on the road was. It took everything in me to restrain myself from ordering a 2nd double with cheese and bacon.

I mean, 5 guys is better than McDonald's but I kinda want more bang for my Buck.
