It's a great value signing no matter what, and Lynn is a solid pitcher to fit into their rotation.

Yeah, he and Cobb were expected multiple years at that money, next year will be quite interesting. Also he'll get 14 barring injury, the 2 million is likely innings.

given the way the free agent market has gone our 1 year 13 mil contract with Estrada seems like a bit of an overpay. I'm not sure how you could have predicted this market though and I expect Estrada to have a great year.

I don't think that's necessarily the case. If teams spend on the FA group next year, the concerns will likely be reduced. If not, a strike would definitely be a probability.

That's true, if it trends like this off-season they'll never get a CBA done in '21.

Yeah and both turned down a QO, they must have anticipated offers of at least 3/40. Shocking that no team is willing to pay that.
