I called it quits at the end of the 8th. Those of you who stayed up on a worknight to see the whole game through, I salute you.

Yeah, knew it. Juicing the ball will bring back the popularity of baseball like it was during the steroid era. The general public would rather see a guy hit 70 dongs than see a starter put up a very low ERA. I'm not complaining, bring more dongers

I'm willing to guess it has a lot more to do with the NFL players protesting

Bit of both imo, I'm interested to see how the WS numbers stack overall compared to recent years

It might go extra innings.... better take a nap ;)

Living in Calgary gives me a couple hours on you guys...I am ashamed to admit I went to bed in the 8th the last game. I just didn't expect another insane game happening and regret not powering through.

the last game reminded me of the Jays and Phillies 16-15 game in the '93 Series in the storm. That was amazing.

Yes, 1993 game was incredible. Surreal.

I'd say the NFL just has a s*** product. The games have for the most part just been bad. And when you have exciting games happening in MLB, NBA and NHL people are just going to look elsewhere.

It's a combination of people cutting cable (other sports aren't fading as bad though), the ridiculous political protests, bad product, and over saturation IMO.

As far as I'm concerned, the NFL has always been a s*** product wrapped around a core game that's pretty fun. Endless commercials, strategies that emphasize killing the clock (i.e., not playing the game), and generally stacking bad rules on top of other bad rules.

Yes. Like to play the game, hate watching it.

Yeah certainly a few factors. Personally I much prefer watching College Football.

If Verlander is lights out tonight does he have a shot at WS mvp? Perhaps but there are a few options.

Man, I know it involves more managing and it was always like this, etc. but I like the DH way more than letting the pitcher hit. Gimmie more offence not a AA hitter

Springer!!!

>implying pitchers can hit as well as AA hitters

Springer or Bregman's been the MVP so far this Fall Classic.

Bregman's two plays to home plate were both insanely well played
