Yippy Verified Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Just knew Beltran would cash that bye bye boston
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Seeing Boston get screwed by their park is soooo tasty
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 LMAO. Man is that extra run big now.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Doesn't get much worse than that to start the inning.
Yippy Verified Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 That was an odd placement of the fielders on that devers inside the park hr
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 How big is that insurance run now.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 That was an odd placement of the fielders on that devers inside the park hr The placement seemed fine, Reddick just stood there watching instead of backing up the play. It's a double if he's paying attention.
Yippy Verified Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Wow how sweet to have Pedroia end it
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Crazy how many mound visits there are.
Yippy Verified Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Visit on every pitch. Catcher shoukd be allowed to use a motorized golf car for the visit
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 f*** yes Good night Red Sox The cream continues to rise to the top in this post season
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 That feeling you get when the Bosox season comes to an end....
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Crazy how many mound visits there are. I don't mind them in the playoffs as much.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 So, is the the year that the Red Sox finally fire John Farrell If so is it because: 1. They finally figured out he's not a good manager 2. They've known for a while that he's not that good, and will use another disappointing playoff appearance as an excuse to fire him now 3. They need a sacrificial lamb to appease an angry fanbase for two consecutive ALCS embarrassments

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 4. Who cares... Hehe Good answer The only thing about Farrell that bothered me was how he lucked in to a World Series in his first year back there. That sucked Now I don't care that much Maybe it would be good for the rest of the division if they decide to keep him LOL

A better manager during his interim stint when Farrell was sick than Farrell ever was. Looks good on them.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 I think there are about 8 good teams in baseball (good now and appear to be set up okay for the future) the Red Sox are one of those 8...there is no shame in not moving on in the playoffs and no reason to do anything too drastic (from firing the manager to player moves)
CraigG Verified Member Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Pedroia is a little panzy... arguing a more than likely third strike just because he couldn't pull the trigger... I'm guessing he can't get off with his wife either, or perhaps she doesn't have a thing for rats.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2017 Author Posted October 11, 2017 Just announced. Farrell will not be returning next season.
flafson Verified Member Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 I don't like him because of the way he treated the Blue Jays.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Just announced. Farrell will not be returning next season. Who, outside of players, is left from before Dumb-Broski arrived now? He took everything Theo built and tore it down (I know Farrell hiring was post-Theo). I can't wait until he destroys the roster as well.

He took everything Theo built and tore it down (I know Farrell hiring was post-Theo). I can't wait until he destroys the roster as well. Dumbrowski is going to cripple that farm system and just add more bloated contracts to compensate for it. Exactly what he did in Detroit until he couldn't do it anymore. He's lucky he was left with such a good crop of young position players that might buy him some time before he inevitably F's them up. Cashman is building the right way, which is bad news for the Jays.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 I think Dombrowski has been a lot better than Jays fans had hoped. Got 3 years of Kimbrel for Margot. He got Pomeranz for Espinoza and his arm is gone. He got Sale who might have already outperformed his contract? He somehow managed to keep his hands off Benintendi and Devers, which hurts. This remains to unfold...
