Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Porcello was pretty fired up there for a guy who just allowed 4 runners to reach in the first inning, and 3 of those didn't have to swing the bat.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Well Morton doesn't look any better.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Well Morton doesn't look any better. Yeah, he's throwing strikes, but they're right down the pipe.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Wow, that did NOT look like a swing.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Lol wtf was that throw from Benintendi?
SexyNewForum Verified Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Lol wtf was that throw from Benintendi? three very hittable pitches.. the hell you looking at correa
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Again like, yeah good job not giving up a grand slam but Porcello is looking awful and is in no way helping keep the Sox out of elimination.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 LOL.....with Farrell tossed the Bosox might actually win this game.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Questionable calls to Bradley Jr. and Pedroia for huge strikeouts for the Astros. At the same time, as a hitter you cannot take a pitch that close in that spot in the game.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Morton painting the corners (maybe a little off them). Tough calls for the ump.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Morton painting the corners (maybe a little off them). Tough calls for the ump. McCann is putting on a clinic as well.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 With heavy rain likely coming soon, going to Sale seems kinda iffy. Might have been better to use relievers, then Sale after a delay.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Morton just getting drilled this inning
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 All of Fenway just deflated. Moreland looked like Tulo coming home.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Morton just getting drilled this inning Unbelievable that this is a 2-1 game. Both pitchers have horseshoes up their asses.
Yippy Verified Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Pedroia should have been thrown out of the game
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Pedroia should have been thrown out of the game I was at the ALCS game a few years ago when Tulo got chucked for what looked like way less than what Pedroia just did. Not that I think Pedroia deserved the boot. I think a bit of leeway should be allowed in the playoffs though.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Finally a clean inning for Morton, and a dominant one at that.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 The Astros might counteract the Sale move with Justin Verlander. Playoff baseball!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 The Astros might counteract the Sale move with Justin Verlander. Playoff baseball! I wonder if it's just for an inning, or longer (assuming the rain doesn't have a say)? He might still go in game 5 if he only throws a few pitches and skipped his throw day.

It's certainly something to consider, he may just go an inning or two recording around 25-30 pitches and still be fresh to go for a potential game 5 after an off-day. I wonder if Keuchel is available to start game 5 just in case? Of course we're all hoping this isn't even something that needs consideration after today.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Lmao Sale vs. Verlander is a better matchup than Porcello vs. Morton Edit: Damn Benintendi that was a towering shot
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 A.J. Hinch is going to get lit up for this if the Astros don't come away with this one, probably unfairly so.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 f*** Benitendi another HR 3-2 Red Sox
