fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Uh oh, Buxton out of the game. That's a game changing moment. He took away extra bases and created a run this game, Twins took a big hit here
CraigG Verified Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Santana is a #3 starter at best... it's embarrassing that he is their guy. His ERA tells a lie.

BTS Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Holy crap David Robertson. What an outing.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Not digging the Big Erv hate here guys
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Not digging the Big Erv hate here guys You'll get over it. Conform, you know you want to.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Lol, how do you completely miss the base THAT badly as a runner?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Well, the better team won even if it was the f***ing Yankees, can't be mad about that. One more hopefully entertaining Wild Card game tomorrow and then a bunch of elite teams will duke it out in the playoffs, should be a ton of fun to watch.

I'll be cheering for the Indians to destroy the Yankees, but I'm glad they advanced.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Arash being creditworthy as usual.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Happy the Twins lost. They f***ing sold at the deadline.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Happy the Twins lost. They f***ing sold at the deadline. Yeah they suck. It makes for a better playoffs with the clearly inferior AL team out of it.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 The Twins only needed like 82 of their 85 (lol) wins to play in this game. I'm looking forward to a month from now when we'll all need a wiki visit to remind us who lost the 2017 AL Wild Card game. I'm pulling for a Dodgers-Astros World Series though.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Exciting game and the better team won I like it
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Holy crap David Robertson. What an outing. He saved the game for them for sure. 3.1 IP, 1BB, 5K, 0 runs Girardi didn't even have to use Bettances What a bullpen
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Yeah they suck. It makes for a better playoffs with the clearly inferior AL team out of it. Agreed. Boston is probably the weakest team left in the AL, and they’re pretty talented. Just need the Rockies to lose tonight and all 8 remaining teams will be championship caliber IMO

NYY The Twins didn't seem any more talented than a handful of teams that failed to hang in, including the Jays, Mariners and Rays The NL is a tougher call

NL I’d probably go: LAD CHC WSH ARZ COL
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 If Arizona wins tonight, I think they win the NL Pennant. They're that good.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Go Rockies! f*** this "better team" ********. Baseball can just be fun. The Rockies are fun...a little top heavy on offense for my liking but at least it's two 5 win players leading them. A pitching staff that has 1 pitcher who threw 160 innings (162 for that one). They have the best pitcher in the NL since the All Star break and a guy returning from battling cancer. Go Rockies!
