Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Teoscar looking great this month!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Chris Sale has lost WAR in this outing, narrowing the gap between he and Kluber. Narrowing the gap between him and Judge
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 4 Homers in 1 outing after not scoring a run off him this year. Thats insane.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Martin might not actually just be dead weight though at least, unlike Tulo. As someone said previously, you could back load JDs contract till after at least tulo is off the books. I wouldn't count Tulo out just yet either. When you look at his offensive numbers, they're really not that far off this year except for vs lefties (which is not normal for him). His numbers vs righties appear to be pretty much exactly in line with what you'd expect. I wouldn't be surprised to see him bounce back into the 2.5 to 3 WAR range. Maybe borderline in terms of earning his contract, but not a team killer either.
art_vandelay275 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Combination of a tight strike zone and bad slider command (plus JD going nuts). hmmm .. seems like we got a couple of calls there and the sox didn't; that first pitch to martin was ridiculous...
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 LOL the risp king strikes again!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 I said this earlier in the month, but man when it rains for Teoscar it really pours. Exact same thing happened for him with the Bisons.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 well I guess we found Bautista's replacement.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Teoscar seems to have a ton of power but hus hard hit rate isn't even 25% entering the game. Which is weird because his home runs have been blasts. I think he's going to have to cut down the strikeouts to be more than a 4th OFer though.

His K rates the last two years in the minors has been fine.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Figures the Jays would start playing well late enough to f*** up their draft positioning.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Figures the Jays would start playing well late enough to f*** up their draft positioning. We're tied with the O's now. I won't be happy if they get a get a higher pick than us, although I think they probably will.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 His K rates the last two years in the minors has been fine. This year was pretty high, and you're going to strike out more in the majors vs the minors obviously. If he can maintain a .200 ISO with a 25% K rate he can be a solid player.

If we win tomorrow and they lose, it will have been the first time this year the Jays quit the AL East basement.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Teoscar! We might be jeopardizing Sale's case at the Cy Young tonight, if ever so slightly. I love it. It was funny, I was at the Indians game last night and they're playing the highlights of this game and the whIle ballpark erupted into an ovation. It was pretty neat!
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 jays beating up on the sox early again.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Martin is NOT enjoying that slider lol.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 You hangy... they bangy!

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Monster shot... loving this from Teo! he really needs to get better defensively though.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Author Posted September 28, 2017 Teo and JD beat the crap out of Bosox pitching....bodes well for next season if JD is still here.
