Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Mayza seems to have a good fastball but he often gets hit hard. maybe bad location or just too straight? He seems to have quite a bit of downward movement, but he's leaving it in the middle of the plate atm. If it's high, let it fly ... and batters are.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Of course I trade Buxton in LoD right before he decides to become good. Enjoy it JFL, you son of a bitch.

A wRC+ of 142 in the 2nd half. Needs to do it over a whole season but the breakout signs are definitely there. In general, Dynasty league owners are impatient with young players, which I intend to exploit.

BTS Community Moderator Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 O/U on the number of years before Jim is perennially 1st place in BORED?
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 O/U on the number of years before Jim is perennially 1st place in BORED? Sounds like a dynasty league chessmaster so....O/U 1.5 years?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Sounds like a dynasty league chessmaster so....O/U 1.5 years? I'll take the over. Took an old s***** Frenchsoup managed team and within a few months turned it into the youngest team in BORED with similar stats to the team I started out with. Turned a ridiculously s***** list of prospects into a list with 9 of 12 prospects on BA top 100. Accomplished objective #1 - finish ahead of Boxy. To be fair, he has been consumed by politics.

Yeah I also inherited the youngest team with a lot of prospects and I gotta tell ya, it's not necessarily as good as it seems. Half of the unestablished young players will flame out epically and the other half are filthy pitcher mud bloods who will break your heart.

Some good pieces but generally s*** and getting shittier. Under no illusions about the young players and prospects. But have enough of them to reasonably expect 3 or 4 will be elite in a few years.

FS had probably the worst milb draft in dynasty baseball history. I don't think I knew of a single guy he drafted lol
