Considering Tepera was a pretty bad MLB pitcher with alright MiLB numbers and Barnes dominated the minors, I would assume the latter had a better projection easily, and is likely to project better going forward.

Yeah, I guess it depends. Tepera gives up a lot of hard contact, whereas Barnes doesn't. Barnes walks fewer, strikes out more (not massive differences between the 2 guys, but it's there.

 

Barnes gives up more fly balls, but the quality of contact is worse overall leading to a lower babip. Tepera gives up rockets, but so far... very low hr per fb and a low babip.

 

Might need more time to see if they separate from each other

I remember you got a lot of slack for that trade. Ending up working out quite well for you.

 

Definitely mixed reviews at best but it's turned out great. Should get years of value out of Taijuan
