Maahfaace Verified Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 I'm not sure which game you're watching, but we were complaining about strike three to Bautista which was much further outside than ball three (which should have been strike three) to Judge. Outside of those two s*** calls he's been ok, but those two calls were clearly wrong, so people rightfully get annoyed. The strike 3 on bats wasn't an egregious call at all. It was fairly close and from the overhead camera it looked like it nicked the corner of the plate.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Could be a long day once again The way Stroman is dealing it may well be a short game time, but I know what you mean.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 I disagree...both were called fair enough imo. The Stroman one should have been a strike but is almost never called and the Bautista one wasn't that bad of a strike call imo The strike 3 on bats wasn't an egregious call at all. It was fairly close and from the overhead camera it looked like it nicked the corner of the plate. All I can look at is gameday for now which is what I'm basing it on (after seeing them live, of course.) I prefer to check brooks but I can't see that until after the game.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Stroman is in no-hitter form today. Just nasty. That didn't take long.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 STFU Tabler, Travis could have sat back and taken the throw in plenty of time to tag out Headly. Travis f***ed up.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Tabler quoting little league fundamentals applied towards Tulo. HOLY f***
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Buck and Pat commentate like baseball is being freshly introduced to Canada.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Atta boy stro. f***ing Gardner long time nemesis for us. Great K pitch
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 "I prefer to check brooks but I can't see that until after the game." I concur, but you said you were basing it off of gameday. Go back and rewind to the overhead shot of that strike three call and there is no way you can say that was a bad call. Sometimes we all are infected by Jays bias glasses
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Pompey leading off and playing CF today in Buffalo, 1-2 so far. We really need a healthy Pompey and his tool set in LF.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Yes, Pat, this new group of Yankees is just as talented as the Jeter-Posada-et al group who won four World Series.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 I can live with Buck but Tabby empty commentary makes me frantically reach for the mute button. As I write this, Maile bringing new meaning to the term negative WAR.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 What a nice approach Holliday took there, sat back and thought gap to gap.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Bad defense hurting us again, wouldn't have mattered on the double but influenced how they were attacking Holliday
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Bad defense hurting us again, wouldn't have mattered on the double but influenced how they were attacking Holliday If Judge was thrown out then it definitely matters.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Stroman left that slider hanging up in the zone again, got lucky this time.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Hopefully stro can have a couple of quick innings, his pitch count is already high and the BP needs a break.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 As good as our catchers have been at calling games, framing, etc.....they really tip what pitch is coming. Martin with his glove angle and Maile with his stance

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 and Morales got to 2nd, what a speed! nice hitting ! Yeah it was. Sat on the outside low change and hit it the other way...great piece of hitting now we need to score him
