Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 It's been seven years already since we drafted this guy, didn't realize it was that long ago. He was part of the package of guys traded for the mediocre pre Pittsburgh version of Happ.
JuniorFelix Verified Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 How long until Travis gets another shot at leading off? Pillar is starting to Pillar again.

If Pillar regresses to the mean i would rather Tulo go there. As Good as Travis has looked his walk rate is not good at the moment although that can change.

I'd rather see Jose back there if not Travis.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 I don't like the lineup how it's assembled but litterally so much danger it's probably irrelevant. Pillar went full 2015 Alcides Escobar for awhile. But he is what he is and Gruber was wrong. All is right in the world again.

It seems dumb having one of your hottest hitters batting 8th but i don't know what else you do. Smoak is raking, Russell looks awesome right now, Tulo doing Tulo things and JD is not really even locked in right now..... Its a nice situation to be in right now. Right now the only two positions i am concerned about right now is Pillar as he has been going back to old pillar since his suspension, and Cararra. Not huge issues though
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Based on current performance I'd do Bautista JD Tulo Smoak Morales Travis Martin Pillar Zeke
Patrick Verified Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Does anyone else think like me, that when we explode in runs and hits like we did last night, the next day we'll struggle to eek out a run. I always am thinking, save some for tomorrow. Hope I'm wrong!
