Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 He already had one with his recent 2 game suspension, plus they only played 5 games last week. Anyway, hope this doesn't turn into a prolonged slump Pillar's always been very streaky. There's a good chance he isn't the hitter we've seen to start the year and is much closer to the hitter we've seen the past 2 years. I suspect in a months time he'll be back hitting 8th and at the end of the year, we'll consider it "improvement' if he gets his wRC+ anywhere near 100.

I still think he is a .260 hitter his issue right now is that he has gone back to flailing at everything like in years past. I don't know maybe i am just speculating on a slump but if he keeps regressing back to his norms i would like to see Tulo eventually try hitting lead off.

Even during his streaky moments he never had as much discipline as he's shown thus far. So I think its fair to expect sustainable improvement

His O-Swing% is only down 3-4%, Swing% is the same.....is that true change? or just a hot streak? It doesn't seem like a drastic change to me. I'll ask...is Smoak's sustainable improvement? His K% is way down.
