bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 come on blue if cruz can hit that pitch into the stratosphere im sure its a strike.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 come on blue if cruz can hit that pitch into the stratosphere im sure its a strike. Cruz can hit most balls into the stratosphere. Especially in this ballpark. He was a Blue Jays killer before he became a star.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 I think it's more realistic to say that trade factors into whoever we sign this year rather than the Vlad signing Sure. 2 years out of the IFA would have been a huge blow. We are signing 2 of the better players in the class atleast expected to anyway.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 This game has been such a rollercoaster. Broken bat? Hit. Scorched line drive? Nah.
wk680 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 nice hit smoak Pearce is really a disappointment right now How ironic to see these two comments posted back to back. It's been that kind of season so far..........
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 He's just getting insanely unlucky right now. His batted ball profile is almost identical to his career marks but his BABIP is really low. You are probably right. The only difference I could see in his career numbers is that the pitches he is getting has been a great deal more outside the strike zone than years past.
wk680 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Estrada already up to 50 pitches through 2 and 1/3. WTF
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 That's why you aren't managing Buck...well that and alcoholism.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Wow ump, we're gonna need those pitches against Kyle Seager.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 WTF ump 2 perfect pitches Low and in to a lefty might be the least called strike in baseball...maybe up and in to a righty is equivalent
wk680 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Estrada not looking to good: keeps throwing changeups up in the strike zone.
Gary Verified Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 That's why you aren't managing Buck...well that and alcoholism. Is Buck really an alcoholic?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 I think we're seeing why Pearce was only used vs LHP his whole career, more or less.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Sooner or later they have to smash that curveball.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 uppercut swings all day There's nothing wrong with uppercut swings, just make sure you're also hitting the ball hard if you're going to do that. Pearce, Goins and Travis all got really hittable pitches, good to drive.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 That was probably high but that was pretty unbelievable late break.
rolliesmustache Verified Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 "Concentrate on the glove, hit the glove, make pitches". Tabby's top shelf analysis never disappoints.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 The pitch Travis got is one he was crushing last 2 years...still doesn't have his timing back With each passing day that shows very little to no signs of Travis returning to form, makes me wonder if that collarbone injury somehow messed with his mechanics.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 I think we're seeing why Pearce was only used vs LHP his whole career, more or less. Because he's an above average hitter against RHP?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 With each passing day that shows very little to no signs of Travis returning to form, makes me wonder if that collarbone injury somehow messed with his mechanics. He was great at times last year and had a good year
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Because he's an above average hitter against RHP? Then i guess everyone who managed him prior are dumb as f*** for not playing him everyday. Something doesn't add up.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 He was great at times last year and had a good year Yeah i guess, but it seems like he lost some flexibility in his swing.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Gotta do something soon. Not going to get another crank at De Jong.
