I really want to see Coghlan in the outfield in place of Carrera when Donaldson comes back. He's really only an emergency infielder, but is decent defensively in LF (at least the last two years). He's a very nice complementary player to a team.

Class act day in and day out, flawlessly executing a job that computers could perform with precise accuracy, and most importantly keeping their egos in check, making sure to understand the perspective of the player and coach if and when a rare mistake happens. Of course, even better are the strict guidelines in place to keep wrongdoers in check, for in the unlikely scenario where an umpire steps out of line, they are punished severely which prevents future occurrences of the same and makes sure the players, not the officiating, dictates the game.

Umpires remind me a lot of when I was a park warden in college. You get these guys who get a taste of power and turn into complete and total *******s. They ruin the experience for everyone, but get rewarded for issuing a lot of tickets. The level headed people who address issues professionally get ignored or get in trouble.

Poor guy indeed, I thought he had a shot at a spot before ST started, and he shined up until his injury. He got concussed and I thought he'd be shipped for AAA for a week or something...
