Wow, great day on the farm. Alford and Pentecost are looking good, although I expect Max is destined to be a 1B

That destroys the majority of his value.

Based on what? He's back catching now and by all accounts looks good behind the dish. What makes you think he won't stay there?

The constant arm injuries are still an obvious concern, but I'm not really sure why 1B is always the "other" position for Pentecost considering that he was always considered an above-average athlete. Unless he's somehow lost all athleticism, I find it hard to believe that he can't at least play LF.

If Pentecost stays at this pace do you think they will move him to AA sooner rather than later. He is 24 and that 1-1/2 years that he was down for really pushed him back in terms of years. Do you think they try to rush him a bit more due to his age?

Pentecost has to be a catcher going forward, otherwise he'd probably just get released.

I don't think they are going to be very aggressive with him at all. Catchers take longer to develop as is and with the injuries they'll be patient. If they wanted to rush him they'd probably abandon C and have him focus on LF and 1B.
