Gary Verified Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Per Davidi: Hearing utilityman Chris Coghlan is en route to #BlueJays from #Bisons. Left-handed hitter had opt out at end of month. Plays OF/3B/2B
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I would guess that Donaldson to the DL is the corresponding move.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 The corresponding move should be Ryan Goins to oblivion
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I would guess that Donaldson to the DL is the corresponding move. Yeah you're right, it'd be surprising if it wasn't.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Can Coglan actually play 3rd? Not well, although a small sample size. He can warm body the position in a pinch though. He'd be a big upgrade in LF.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I would guess that Donaldson to the DL is the corresponding move. New as expected... not official as of yet! Fri, Apr 14 Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports that the Blue Jays are expected to place Josh Donaldson (calf) on the disabled list. Donaldson first injured his right calf during spring training and he aggravated the injury on Sunday and again on Thursday. It's unclear at this point how long he might be sidelined, but clearly some rest is in need here. Darwin Barney and Ryan Goins are likely to hold down third base while Donaldson is on the shelf. Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 We should call up Kelly to take Goins spot as well. Put Coughlan in LF and Kelly at 3B against righties. Against lefties put Kelly in LF and Barney at 3B. Super glue Smoak's ass to the bench. I get not wanting to panic if you're the FO and I get that Goins isn't why this team sucks so bad right now but a 1-8 start warrants some tinkering IMO and if you're the 25th man that's where the tinkering will occur.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 If we see Smoak at 1B and Goins at 3B. CAMH will need to dedicate a special wing for this message board.
