IIRC, they have to clear a spot on the 40 man. The only one of those three who is on the 40 is Graterol so I'm assuming he gets DFA'd in a corresponding move.

Fair enough but they won't run with four catchers on the 40 all season. They'll DFA someone at some point. They might just be taking advantage of the open 40 to see if they can sneak Maille into the minor league system when they DFA him themselves down the road. It only makes sense to make these kind of claims when you have as spot to burn.
