    I would rather get a higher-end lefty. Osuna, Grilli and Biagini are fine for late-inning RHers. All we have for high-leverage situations for lefties are Loup and Howell. Ugh.

    Terrible broadcaster with zero unique input to conversations. It pains me to have to watch the American announcers in the playoffs. Biases aside, they just aren't very good at delivering any inciteful analysis.

    Ryan Goins just got pulled from Buffalo lineup, mid-inning. Looks like he is being traded for someone (maybe Votto?). Not injured. Came to the dugout, short convo, grabbed all his bats and went down the tunnel. Hmmmmm

    I'm pretty sure the Marlins were given the first offer to go. Given the strong (anti-Castro) Cuban expat population in Miami, they were smart enough to say no, rather than have a Cuban-led boycott in Miami.

    Not worried about defensive side, Goins will be fine, maybe even an improvement. But asking Travis to bat leadoff for a month seems like a big ask, to me.

    Norris into the 5th inning, has thrown 27 pitches. 26 strikes, 1 ball. Seriously?

    Guy has had 17 plate appearances so far. Assuming the Jays hitting coach has changed a few things in his swing, I would think he will get 40-50 PA's to work it out.

    Whoever the Jays get, they need him to be able to hit right-handers. Jays were already weak from the left side; the Saunders injury only exacerbates this. Ironically, this injury might make it HARDER for AA to trade Navarro, unless a better LH bat is coming back.

    All winter we have been complaining about needing a 2nd baseman. I reality, we should have been seeking a shortstop, and preparing to move Reyes to 2B.
