o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 I just want the jays to come out of the WBC without injuries. the rest is irrelevant. It's more fun to watch than early spring training games but in the great scheme I don't care. Healthy squad for opening day and I'll be happy. Smoak playing in Japan would make me even happier but I guess I can't have everything.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Colabello with a homerun for Team Italy.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Alfredo Despaigne dropping bombs for Cuba in the group stage. Two massive homers thus far.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Osuna being hit around by Team Italy. Entered with a 4-run lead, now 9-7 and still not outs for Italy.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Osuna does not record a single out and leaves in favour of what appears to be Oliver Perez. Bases juiced no outs for Team Italy.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Ignore him please. Clearly got up on the wrong side of the cave this morning. lol
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Brandon Nimmo is just the guy Italy wants here, though it'll be tough against the LOOGY Perez.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Riot in Mexico tonight. Walk off win in Mexico will be lit.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Holy f***, nearly an amazing play from Verdugo but he drops it.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Osuna seems like a completely different pitcher when pitching the 9th or in a close/tie game, vs when he pitches with a huge lead.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Wow, what a collapse.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Wow, epic chokejob/brilliant comeback! What an ending!
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 I consider Italian people as White so yay for team Gringo's on the win!

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 This could f*** the Osuna' brain....Awful performance
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Yeah I really hope Osuna bounces back from this.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Are we really concerned Osuna had a bad outing in Spring Training?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Are we really concerned Osuna had a bad outing in Spring Training? It could just be me, but he strikes me as one of the most unflappable players that we have had in recent memory. This game means nothing.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Are we really concerned Osuna had a bad outing in Spring Training? I'm not concerned about the mechanical side of things. It's more of a mental thing Osuna is still in ST mode but this game is not ST. And this loss is pretty much on him. So hopefully he realizes that he isn't 100% yet and that he shouldn't worry.

Yeah, because he hasn't blown a game in the last 2 years, right?

Wow maybe you should send him a nice tweet and tell him to pick his head up
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Yeah, because he hasn't blown a game in the last 2 years, right? That Kim home run still kind of chaps my ass tbh.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Osuna seems like a completely different pitcher when pitching the 9th or in a close/tie game, vs when he pitches with a huge lead. I'd like to see a report of closer performance when: - Brought in with a big lead (non-save situation) - Save situations only. - Brought in when tied or behind Just anecdotal, but I tend to see closers doing very poorly whenever they're brought in, in non-save situations.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 What happened with Canada team? Paxton, Votto, Vladimir Jr, Taillon, Lawrie, etc That's why I'll never take the WBC seriously. Canada could really have a good team if everyone participated. Though never will happen.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
