I just want the jays to come out of the WBC without injuries. the rest is irrelevant. It's more fun to watch than early spring training games but in the great scheme I don't care.

 

Healthy squad for opening day and I'll be happy. Smoak playing in Japan would make me even happier but I guess I can't have everything.

It could just be me, but he strikes me as one of the most unflappable players that we have had in recent memory. This game means nothing.

I'm not concerned about the mechanical side of things. It's more of a mental thing

 

Osuna is still in ST mode but this game is not ST. And this loss is pretty much on him. So hopefully he realizes that he isn't 100% yet and that he shouldn't worry.

I'd like to see a report of closer performance when:

 

- Brought in with a big lead (non-save situation)

- Save situations only.

- Brought in when tied or behind

 

Just anecdotal, but I tend to see closers doing very poorly whenever they're brought in, in non-save situations.

What happened with Canada team?

Paxton, Votto, Vladimir Jr, Taillon, Lawrie, etc

 

That's why I'll never take the WBC seriously. Canada could really have a good team if everyone participated. Though never will happen.
