The Blue Jays to unveil new red alternate uniform to be worn on all Sunday home games

Pretty much our standard jersey with all of the blue replaced by red. I don't mind it, at least they didn't try to come up with a whole new design and give us something way more ugly.

They look great for Canada Day but I don't understand the need to wear them every Sunday home game. Probably the best Canada themed jersey they have developed though. They had a similar one a few years ago but it wasn't colour coordinated from front to back like it is this year. Great design hope they do a similar thing with the caps instead of the tacky giant maple leaf spring training ones. Those are still awful.

 

EDIT: Damn just watched the video and they f***ed up the hats again. What is wrong with our actual hat just doing it and red and one.

I forget what you call the excessive use of serifs in fonts but it's a really annoying design trend. I don't even think they're called serifs when they are mid-letter like that but whatever it is, it looks foolish. The Angels are notorious offenders.

I hadn't even considered that this was a Canada 150 thing. If that was the rationale then it's weird that they didn't try to incorporate the Canada 150 logo (not that it would make me like the uni any more than I do). On the plus side, if it is a Canada 150 thing then they should theoretically only be around for one season.
