Jays interested in Dee Gordon according to a few articles popping up this morning.

 

I doubt it, but it's that time of year with rumors.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us adding someone like Gordon with a few years of control, where the other team are looking to save salary.

 

One benefit of the previous 2 seasons of winning baseball is the increased payroll flexibility to add salary when required.

The Contract isn't awful, but I'd be reluctant to bring in another guy who posts a wRC+ in the 80's and relies on his speed. Especially since he'll be turning 30 next year.

 

 

I'd rather trade for Derek Dietrich and see if we can extend him for a couple of a years.

I think I'd prefer Josh Harrison as a trade option. Can play 2b, 3b, and the outfield. If they decide to trade JD, then they can slide Harrison over to 3B to fill that spot, and then slide him back to 2B when Travis misses most of 2018 with an injury.

Definitely not. We were playing frigging Houston! It's shocking the Jays even split.. imagine if all the Astros pitching was healthy.
