Verdugo and Alvarez not in OKC's lineup. Me thinks things are happening for the Dodgers

First thought was maybe Darvish, but if those two are getting packaged up I'd think the Dodgers would be after someone controlled beyond this year.

Archer was still in the game...my odd thought was Carlos Martinez. He's locked up far too long though. Verlander it seems like an overpay unless Wilson was in too. Stroman????

JD Martinez is hitting everything out of the park with the DBacks. 4 dingers in 20 PA

He was hitting everything out of the park with the Tigers, too.

This is true. The guy's ISO on the season is .353, although with Arizona thus far it's like .700 lol

I'm rooting for the D'Backs if they make the postseason. Have a great 1-2 punch with Greinke and Ray and love their lineup with Goldy, JD, Pollock, Lamb, Peralta, Owings, Drury. All they need is a better closer. Not sure how Rodney still has a job.

Please. But need a bit more than those guys, Keibert too

Maybe it's Fulmer, seems unlikely but his name has been floated around. Would take one heck of a return, Cole fits into the same category.

Highly doubt Stroman would be traded, unless the package contained enough MLB ready talent to still be competitive next year as well. Maybe you do something like Stroman, Liriano, Bautista for Verdugo, Alvarez, something, and then pick up Verlander, dunno. We don't have the pitching depth to trade Stroman or Sanchez otherwise though. There isn't much on the market this offseason either, unless you feel really good about signing Otani.

I wonder what the Dodgers would pay for Happ? He'd seem like a pretty good fit for them actually. Throw in Liriano too, who could move to the pen if necessary when Kershaw returns.

Sonny Gray seems like an obvious possibility for the Dodgers, and Verdugo and Alvarez is probably about right.

Random thought. I don't think Didi Gregorious gets enough credit for stepping right into Jeter's shoes. He's been phenomenal given the circumstances.

The Rays' bullpen is blowing this. They've all been singles finding holes but still.

They like to make it fun to watch...it's been two years now that they have had a bad pen.

Two shortstops playing near short...no one goes for the ball

Can't believe I just saw that. And Colome will get hit with a blown save because of incompetence. Just stupid

Jays have needs all over the diamond. If Stroman returns multiple MLB ready players, Shatkins has to give it serious consideration.

He did have a part in it with the leadoff triple

Ultimately he has to follow what management wants, and they seem to have made it pretty clear they don't plan on rebuilding. I'm not even sure he CAN give it much consideration, even though I'm sure he'd love to.

Yup, and then did everything perfectly to strand him, except stupid happened

Add Godley to that rotation. He might be better than Ray.

Gardner walk off. f***. Stupid error that won't be counted as an error which should have ended the game.

I really have a hard time hating the Yankees right now. They've done so many things right over the past few seasons and have compiled some impressive young talent. I'm kinds of jelous of them, Boston too. Heck, I'd rather have the Rays 40-man right now.

Probably helped that Jeter was absolutely terrible for his last couple years with the Yanks
