It relates to the possibility of a MLB player not being permitted back into the USA after a Toronto series, or from wherever. It's baseball related.

Did Canada get added to the travel ban list? I must have missed that.

Canadians born in the targeted countries are at increased risk of being denied entry to the USA. That's why many or most school boards in Canada have cancelled school trips south of the border.

As for MLB, since the players are from all over the world, there could be an impact particularly if there is an expansion of the restrictions.

So don't go to America. It's not that great anyway, especially right now.

Good call. Go to Cuba instead, or Costa Rica. Tourism in America is going to do very poorly over the next four years.

anyone working in the MLB already has a visa and the new rules DON'T AFFECT PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE VISAS.

keep the politics to the thread designated for it.

We're going in May. But crossing the border and then flying out of Niagara Falls, NY. Easy peasy when it's a domestic flight...or at least it was the last time I went a few years ago.

Especially at where the dollar is right now and likely where it is heading it is defiantly not worth it.

I'm in Niagara Falls. Cheap cheap flight to be had from the other side. If you are willing to fly at 3 am, have seen flights to FL as low as $40

DR is my preference. Ang fixes me up nicely.

Yup. The return flights were dirt cheap. We wanted one way though. I've seen a stop-over for like 21 hours...no thanks...especially with 3 kids and a grandmother with us. Paid a bit more for convenience.

Norris was deciding between the #Rays and #BlueJays, league source says. Toronto offered more $, he chose more playing with Tampa.

I would've preferred Norris over Salty but we already made a commitment to him. If both were still available by now I would've pushed for Norris.

Plus I do think Norris is good enough to be a starter (if he goes back to his healthy self) so he wouldn't have much to show here in Toronto.

Typical Rays move, I bet he gets flipped if he does good

We don't have a commitment to Salty. He's on a minor league deal. I don't blame Norris. Nobody wants to play behind Martin. He will actually get some playing time in Tampa.

Now they need to take the money they were going to use on Norris and give it to Pagan. I'm going to puke if Zeke is our everyday LF. In no world should that happen.

The Minnesota Twins, ladies and gentlemen:

"The Twins are expected to meet with righthander Jose Berrios on Friday, when there’s a good chance the 22-year-old will be informed that he won’t break camp with the team."

Might have been worth it for him to pitch for his team along with the other competitors instead of going to the WBC, frankly. He wasn't a lock coming out of 2016 to begin with. Would have had a chance to beat up on some MiLB lineups instead of jump into the fire against national superteams.

Could be pretty bad for COL. Maybe just pulling him for pitch count when he clearly isn't getting it done?

Well s***. Hopefully it's nothing substantial.

Jon Gray exited his start against the Giants on Friday with left foot soreness.

The Rockies' Root Sports broadcast referred to the injury as "very, very mild," so it looks like the club dodged a bullet here. They were certainly due a break when it comes to injuries. Gray should probably be OK to make his next spring start.

J.D. Martinez will be shut down for 3-4 weeks after being diagnosed with a sprained Lisfranc ligament in his right foot.

Martinez doesn't need surgery, but he'll be in a cast for 7-10 days and won't be ready for baseball activities again until well into April. It will obviously be quite a while after that before he's ready to play in a major league game. Steven Moya is likely to handle right field while Martinez is on the shelf.
