Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2018 Author Posted August 9, 2018 ,,, I meant to ask you sooner, how's Britain with Georgie's win?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2018 Author Posted August 9, 2018 Throwing darts this week. Guys are going to go low. Brooks Koepka wins!
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 I meant to ask you sooner, how's Britain with Georgie's win? I had no idea what you were talking about for a while until it clicked! Was trying to work out which player's nickname was Georgie haha. Women's golf gets very little coverage here because the majors don't overlap with the men's like in tennis. The only time you really see Brits celebrating British success in minor sports is the Olympics and the women's draw at Wimbledon. Our sporting coverage is dominated by the major popular sports. At the moment it's mainly the football (it's transfer deadline today!) and a bit of the cricket as England are in a Test series with India.

The EPL season starts tomorrow, that might help interest locally

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2018 Author Posted August 28, 2018 Amazing job by Henderson over the weekend winning the Canadian Open, respect, she dominated... arguably the best Canadian Golfer ever, imo. And she's only 20.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Looking forward to some exciting golf action this weekend. I wish I had tomorrow off work to watch. Tiger's locked in.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2018 Author Posted September 28, 2018 This mornings matches were funtastic!
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 This mornings matches were funtastic! Great start for the US - can they win in Europe for the first time in 25 years? Europe leading 3-1 early in the afternoon matches so hopefully it'll end up as a close one.

Europe's kicking ass this afternoon thus far.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2018 Author Posted September 29, 2018 Europe is kicking ass!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2018 Author Posted September 29, 2018 Europe is killing it, again.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2018 Author Posted September 29, 2018 I love this play.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 The US will have to load their better players up front tomorrow - if Europe get a few early leads then it's basically over. Still can go either way though!

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 Not looking good for the Red, White and Blue. Like Bob said, need to load up on the better players and there is no margin for error anymore. Won't exactly take a miracle but they are going to have to play really really well.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 Do the winners advance to play Canada in the championship?? That is what the President's Cup is for!
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 It's going to be a close finish! Woods and Mickelson well on the way to going 0-6 though.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Would be good to see Molinari get the winning point and go 5-0.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 It's going to be a close finish! Woods and Mickelson well on the way to going 0-6 though. likely over in the next 15 minutes
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 That's it and Molinari does seal it! No European has ever gone 5-0 before.
