Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Carlos Santana playing LF tonight. 1. Carlos Santana (S) LF 2. Jason Kipnis (L) 2B 3. Francisco Lindor (S) SS 4. Mike Napoli ® 1B 5. Jose Ramirez (S) 3B 6. Lonnie Chisenhall (L) RF 7. Roberto Perez ® C 8. Tyler Naquin (L) CF 9. Josh Tomlin ® P 1. Dexter Fowler (S) CF 2. Kris Bryant ® 3B 3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B 4. Ben Zobrist (S) LF 5. Willson Contreras ® C 6. Jorge Soler ® RF 7. Javier Baez ® 2B 8. Addison Russell ® SS 9. Kyle Hendricks ® P Surprised no-one has commented on this yet... he's played a whopping 4 innings in his career out there? Personally... I like it, the bat is too good to have on the bench, wind's blowing out and there should be plenty of bombs tonight. Or Francona looks like a mutt and a play in LF is the difference in the game... any thoughts on this?

I think if you are the Indians going into a slug fest at Wrigley with the wind blowing out, Tomlin (one of the worst fly ball pitchers in MLB with lots of HR surrendered) as your starter, and up against the NL ERA leader; you have much bigger concerns than the ability of your left fielder.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 That second strike to Santana wasn't even close.
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 That strike call on napoli lol
Nabru Verified Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Is the fix in? Hopefully Tomlin gets those off the plate as well.
wk680 Verified Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Well, after the called strikes in that 1st inning, it is nice to see the Indians getting some of the same medicine the Jays had to swallow in the ALCS. What goes around has a habit of coming back around.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Tomlin on 12 days rest is pumped. Hit 89 twice already

Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Come on buck they had no chance to get the runner there
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Cubs really trying to negate Indians speed

I know he's shown power against RHP but Crisp playing LF and Santana playing 1B seems to make more sense to me. I love Francona's comments though saying "if Santana doesn't make a play that's not on him...it's on me".

Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 If cubs continue to shut down Indians speed they should win
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Hendricks reminds me a lot of Estrada.
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 That first inning by cleveland may have been their best chance
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Madden. Has figured out how to beat cleveland. Be aggressive on shutting down their speed runners
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 I see Buck is more sober for the national broadcast.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 It's a pleasure watching these 2 control artists 'pitch'. I love it.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Not watching the game live. Is Hendricks getting BABIP'd or is he getting hit hard?
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 That cats with hats commercial eneough please
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 That wasn't a strike? wtf
