lol, he spent a month in AAA because he had one of the worst seasons in franchise history. You can't argue that he's never going anywhere, when he was sent away this season for being terrible.

The reason why Goins has been around as long as he has was that the team had no above replacement level 2B and two men made of glass at 3B and SS two years ago. If Devon Travis plays 150 games next year Goins doesn't see more than 50 PA with this team next year.

Another thing that worked in Goins' favour is that he had options and it's always useful to have role players that you can taxi back and forth between the majors and AAA when required. I'm not 100% positive on this but I do believe he will be out of options in 2017. I think this increases the likeliness that he ends up on a different team.
