candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Crazy to remember the days where the played 3rd base and got DFA'd. What a turn around for E5
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I was at the game last year when he knocked out 3, best game I've been to
sg11 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Hopefully Edwin returns. At the very least I hope he doesn't end up in a red sox uniform or any AL team for that matter
MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Mark my words. EE and Jose will both be back.
Art Vandelay Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I won't miss Bautista, but I will miss Edwin.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 I hope this man gets paid, whether with us or without us. Guy was a lowkey beast that just went about his business
Don Encartista Verified Member Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 he'll be signed pronto. Bautista will back too.
Key22 Verified Member Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 5/$100 million or 4/$88 million. We'll see. But these are the minimums it will take I think. Can Shapiro feel comfortable with that. Boston and New York can go much higher.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 From E5 to a Blue Jays legend. The man has been a rock for five years. If you take any of his stat lines from 12-16 it's nearly impossible to guess which lines belong to which campaign (except for maybe the popped quad year in 14, but even then he was beasting). Maybe it's just me but I was so glad to see Edwin get his big hero moment in the postseason to go side-by-side wwithlast year's bat flip. I remember even saying to my girlfriend before the game that I want Eddy to get his legend moment.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Would be very sad to see him go. Pls more Edwings in Toronto!
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Would be very sad to see him go. Pls more Edwings in Toronto! I'm pretty sure the Edwing can only happen in Toronto. It just feels like our weird thing.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 I hope he's back. Has went out of his way to say he wants to come back on many occasions. People forget hes been on waivers, hes been outrighted. He was temporarily in Oakland's system at one point I believe. He had the option of going anywhere he wanted and decided to resign with us because he wanted it to work here. I love the guy and always will but if someone wants to pay him out the ass for a 5 year contract you let him walk. But just because Ortiz said Boston should sign him doesn't mean it will happen. I think Boston will be looking at Trumbo and Napoli for the 1st Base/DH spot.
