fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Good for the Indians. They've been a good team for a lot longer than people give them credit for and they've been playing amazingly well all postseason. Wow, I'm not even that sad. I felt like puking after losing to the Royals. You know why? Because we lost to a team that was stacked with talent and was built tremendously well. Not because some flukey team got help from a neckbeard. Great job for them, I'm rooting for them in the WS. Also to everyone who's sad, just know we got beat by Shapiro's team, what a future we have ahead of us
Phinnster Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Came here just to see a bunch of angry Canadians cry. Thanks for the entertainment, little girls. Have fun watching the debate tonight between two of the scummiest people on the planet.
Baseball911 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 At least the jays have good pieces like Sanchez, pillar and Stroman so they can restock the farm. Gonna be a rough next 4 years. See ya then Canadian dweebs
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Well it's been a fun year. Disappointed by the ALCS but at least we made it that far. At least we made it to the ALCS--that's a lot more than the Red Sox can say. It's amazing that a banged up Cleveland team managed to take down 2 AL East teams.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 The Indians deserve it. Great job by them. They pitched very well all series long.

ComeTogether Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Cheering for cubs. Cleveland looks favorite to win WS now. Twice jays lose to the eventually WS winner it seems.
Driveof85 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 This series was an embarrassment. Blow it up. rebuild.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I will remember Edwins walk off and Donaldsons dash to win Game 3 at Texas for the rest of my life. Thanks Jays. At the end of the day our offense let us down in this series. That's why we lost. We did ok with the offense all season, but it wasn't what we thought it could/would be. Our starters were amazing. I love Gibby but leaving Stro in to face the line up a 3rd time in Game 3 was an awful move as was not pinch running Pompey tonight in the 8th. Its time for a change I think. Even with those things, I just don't think we hit enough to win this series and CLE played better period. All in all a very good season. It had my son and I up and screaming at the TV in both anger and joy many times. I love my Jays. Always will.

The GDT is not an accurate representation of the majority of the posters on this board. You're welcome to stay and talk baseball throughout the offseason but I have a hunch you're just a bandwagon fair weather casual Indians fan.
JonMc Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Good year, bad end to, layoffs. Yeah. That last inning was too much of this season in a nutshell. The bats threatened to break loose but they didn't do it consistently. We stuttered our way here and it just didn't happen in the end. Disappointed but decent season. Take the positives, and there are a few, and move on.
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Great season by you guys, just fell a little short. Hopefully next year we'll have another great race in the AL East.

Also to everyone who's sad, just know we got beat by Shapiro's team, what a future we have ahead of us I still want the Cubs to win but I won't mind if it's Cleveland. Damn, I had to have the TV off at this point last year and I didn't watch any baseball afterwards. I can't get over how not upset I am. Actually really looking forward to the WS.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Again.... Team with an amazing bullpen gets it done. Our bullpen was better. The team with the better offense and smart hitters won.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Great year. Looking forward to the offseason. Will be one of the most interesting ones in years. Yes it will and i'm really looking forward in seeing what Shapiro will do, especially with some decent cash on hand. I'm confident Shapiro will have a great off season.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 Jays lose! haha I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. It's good to have some laughter in your life. Now go walk into oncoming traffic.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Not necessarily sad that this year is over. We smacked the Orioles and Rangers in the postseason and made it to the ALCS. The core of this team is likely to change though. Sad to see the possible end of the careers of Bautista and EE. Played huge parts in what were the only two successful seasons that we've had in the past 23.
Baseball911 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Lol when's Brendan Kalfus coming up I thought he was suppose to be the bluejays answer to Mike trout?
Driveof85 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 This season was a disappointment. Worse outcome than last year. Last year we won the division and went farther in the ALCS. Anyone satisfied should be ashamed.
Thaze2016 Verified Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Cleveland wins the pennant. And the Jays once again can't get past the ALCS for the 5th time in franchise history.. Tribe head off to try to finally win a World Series.. hoping to avoid the chokes of 1995 and 1997.. two very strong, deep teams that lost to Atlanta(only World Series Atlanta has ever won) and Miami (then the Florida Marlins). Nothing against Cleveland but the Dodgers are gonna win the WS this season. They're gonna do it to send Vin out with a bang.

Gonna be a rough next 4 years. See ya then Canadians We have money to bring in pieces and/or resign Bautista/Edwin. And remember, we still have Donaldson back next year and 2018.

I guess my tiny Canadian brain just can't comprehend everything.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I thought after this year the jays would be a huge write off for next year.. if the pitching repeats and a couple good moves, we will still be competitive.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I don't know about you guys but that was a ball busting season, felt like we underpreformed for most of it. I guess the playoffs were fun.

Also to everyone who's sad, just know we got beat by Shapiro's team, what a future we have ahead of us Yup, this proves Shapiro's approach can win. Let's hope he makes the right moves off season and get back at it next yr. I like the starting pitching depth. They can add more in bullpen. Get better all around hitters, maybe add some speed too.

EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Back to back alcs. In the end cant be mad at that at all. Just a couple years ago we'd be dreaming of something like that.

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Lol when's Brendan Kalfus coming up I thought he was suppose to be the bluejays answer to Mike trout? This should clearly be a red flag this is a Blue Jays' troll. I actually had to google Kalfus' name to remind myself who the f*** he was.
