HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Probably injured in the wild card game celebration. made me cringe that they were piling on Martin during the ALDS celebration f***ing Upton
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 He actually said it was bugging him for a month, and only recently it became unbearable. He must be lying at some point. Maybe he re aggravated it during the scuffle It wouldn't surprise me if he or the team were lying about the reason for the injury. I have a very good source regarding a pretty major injury last season which the team lied about with the player's permission.

Off the top of my head in terms of 'major' -Stroman (unlikely of course) -Reyes rib (probable) -Saunders reinjury (probable) -Bautista/Edwin injuries (minor) -Tulo (unlikely)
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I bolded righty, brah. lol I'm agreeing with you, I'd rather see Smoak bat over Navvy, though. Yet Navarro forces the pitcher to stay on the mound, instead of a pitching change. Smoak's a switch hitter too.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 made me cringe that they were piling on Martin during the ALDS celebration f***ing Upton Yeah that was awful thought I did get a chuckle at Martin (wisely) trying to avoid the swarm. Was probably just as worried as we were watching it.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Smoak's a switch hitter too. But is he really? Get to 2 strikes throw him a curveball and down goes the big man.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 But is he really? Get to 2 strikes throw him a curveball and down goes the big man. He's better from the left side for sure but if we're talking about Navarro's ability to switch hit (which we were) than I think it's valid to bring up Smoak's. Smoak's weak side split is pretty close to Navarro's strong side split (with the caveat of tiny unregressed sample sizes of course).
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Smoak's a switch hitter too. Welp... I've been up since yesterday, thanks, lol.
Ehjays Verified Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Can we please invade Cleveland again?? Apparently we are http://www.cleveland.com/travel/index.ssf/2016/10/toronto_blue_jays_fans_snatch.html
admin Site Manager Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I guess all those people booked rooms and worry about tickets later. Would love to see half full of Jays fans. Would be amazing. Even 1/3 Jays fans will be louder than 2/3 Cleveland.

The hotel I'm staying at still has availability but only suites left for like $563 CAD per night.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 It'd possible Kluber is just not in good health. If he goes Game 1 and Game 5 maybe he is available potential Game 7
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Surprising. Figured they'd go to Kluber as often as they could. Im guessing Zach McAllister is the 4th guy Probably Clevinger.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 It was Saunders. I can see that, he hadn't played all year.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 That's good to hear but my guess is that it's subject to change. TBA is all about where the series is at.

Im guessing Zach McAllister is the 4th guy They might not be fully committed to the 4th starter. I mean a 4th starter makes sense in theory. Pitchers lose effectiveness on short rest so you don't want to do it unless you have to but given their 4th starter options, they might have to if they're not up in the series by then. Conversely, it would be crazy for the Jays to negate their depth advantage and force anyone to pitch on short rest when they have so little drop off 1 through 4.
