admin Site Manager Posted October 10, 2016 Author Posted October 10, 2016 Cleveland. Probably a silly question, but figured I'd create discussion.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 No poll? I'm strongly in favor for Cleveland, I dont want our pitchers playing in that bandbox Fenway.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Boston or Cleveland? I'd take more satisfaction in beating Boston, but I'd rather see them beat by Cleveland..... so I guess i'd rather play Cleveland
admin Site Manager Posted October 10, 2016 Author Posted October 10, 2016 No poll? I'm strongly in favor for Clevland, I dont want our pitchers playing in that bandbox Fenway. For some reason it posts automatically even before I'm setting up poll.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Cleveland seems like the much easier draw.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I think we would even be favorites despite them having the home field
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Also relevant American League won the All-star game
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Cleveland only so Jays fans can fill half the stadium for their home games
4thOFan Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Jays dont have a chance vs Boston. Better hope Cleveland can close this out.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Jays dont have a chance vs Boston. Better hope Cleveland can close this out. Who can compete with that rotation you have in Boston
BigBulgeBlueBird Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Boston if Cleveland had a healthy rotation, but since they do not, I will take my chances against Bauer/Kluber/Bums.
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Cleveland. Losing to Boston would freaking kill me. If we lose to Cleveland (we won't!) it would be as devastating.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Doesn't Cleveland have a s*** load of switch hitters which might make some matchup nightmares for our pen?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Jays dont have a chance vs Boston. Better hope Cleveland can close this out. Jays can beat Boston. Neither team will be easy, but they can certainly beat either.

The general consensus on this board seems to be that playing match-ups is dummmmmmmm anyway (I mostly agree, although I liked Cecil in the 8th today).
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Cleveland is the easier series but I wouldn't mind pounding the Sox either.

I think matchups don't matter as much when you have a lights out pen... I'm not sure we're there. Regardless, I like our chances against either team if our offence keeps it going.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Indians for sure. Red sox just need to go away.
CBlake Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 This is all about the Jays, so who the f*** cares who they play, bring them on whomever they are.

bronson44 Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I chose Cleveland but think I'll change it to Boston. Nobody in Boston's rotation or bullpen worries me except for maybe Porcello, and I think we could get to him. We haven't hit Bauer well, Kluber is scary and they have a better bullpen, led by Miller. Plus Francona>>>>Farrell.
CBlake Verified Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 The thing with Cleveland is the five switch hitters, so it takes away matching up to some extent.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Boston or Cleveland? Cleveland is obviously the tougher team to play, no doubt about that. Pitching and defense play up in the playoffs and Cleveland has the advantage in spades. That being said, f*** Boston.
