Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Almost as bad as Rangers fans relying on Colby Lewis after their top two got destroyed. Pretty similar storylines actually. I was told by you that Boston has an elite pitching staff lol.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Damn, Sox are choking big time.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Tie this s*** up we want 5! I want Cleveland to eliminate Boston, but doing it in five games would be ideal. Finishing it off today would probably be 2nd best option. Four games would be a *worst case* for them to advance imo.
baseball player 3.0 Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Tie this s*** up we want 5! I'd rather Cleveland end this tonight, reason being and I don't know if it has any actually statistical merit but I would rather the teams have a similar amount of days off instead of the Jays being "rusty". I'd rather both teams be rusty. I think it had a factor in how easily we handled Texas.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Wat? No. What does "reliant" mean anyway? Ortiz is just one scary component of a lineup that is mostly terrifying from top to bottom. When he's bad (or gone), Sox are marginally worse, but still the best offense in baseball. It means they rely on him to provide a lot of offense. Our hitting in 2015 was better than theirs this year, things change quickly. Anyone betting on a BABIP fueled repeat is going to be losing a lot of money, that's just common sense.

But sure I guess Indians just getting it over with means both teams get a huge lay off in the ALCS.
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Cleveland only has to play 6 innings then it's miller time
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Damn, Sox are choking big time. The Indians have been making great pitches and playing solid D in my opinion. Nothing unexpected from Boston thusfar.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I like the Indians winning because no one's going to trot out the lazy, unsubstantiated by history, narrative that the Jays will have "too much rest". Both teams will be nearly the same amount of rested.
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 LOL at TBS announcers!! There lost.
el duque Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 looks we will face Miller and the tribe,
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 damn miller is gonna f*** us up

bronson44 Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 damn miller is gonna f*** us up They'll also probably have Salazar in the bullpen too.
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Think we might be underestimating the Indians. Hope the Jays aren't.

There is a lot of time to fill in a baseball game and the human element is surefire content for a national audience.
el duque Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Think we might be underestimating the Indians. Hope the Jays aren't. They won over two good team Kansas and Detroit and they were the best in the AL. They are the favorites to advance and go to the WS.
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 With the injuries to their starters they are being underestimated
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Think we might be underestimating the Indians. Hope the Jays aren't. I'm not. They're the tougher opponent at this point. I just hate it when Bawstahn "fans" are happy, so I can't bear to root for the Sox.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 They won over two good team Kansas and Detroit and they were the best in the AL. They are the favorites to advance and go to the WS. Kansas City was not a good team this year to be fair.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 They won over two good team Kansas and Detroit and they were the best in the AL. They are the favorites to advance and go to the WS. The AL East was way tougher than the Central. Cleveland-Detroit-KC doesn't hold up with Boston-Toronto-Baltimore-New York. Outside of that August winning streak the Royals were basically patsies this year. Cleveland are a really good team but the quality of their competition isn't a good argument for them being better than the Jays. The Indians sure made their money this year by totally skinning the Tigers. 13 wins? 14? Total domination.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Think we might be underestimating the Indians. Hope the Jays aren't. I don't think anyone is underestimating them. They've had key injuries though, and if that Boston offense gets hot, it could be a problem. They went into a slump at exactly the right time (for everyone else).
el duque Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 How long can Miller go? Two innings then the closer
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Shut up Pedroia, that's a clear strike.
Leafs2726 Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Pedroia whining again lol what the hell is he looking at any pitch that close anyways.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Wow. Caught plate, shut the f*** up you rat face how didn't he get ejected there? Barked and barked on
